Reusable Carved Pumpkins

Pumpkin Decor

There is something fun about gathering around a pumpkin with your kids and gutting it into a delightfully scary or happy jack-o-lantern, but one per family is good enough. After you buy your one locally grown organic pumpkin to carve (don't forget to eat the seeds, leave them for the birds or save them to grow your own next year) if you want more jack-o-lanterns to decorate your home for Halloween or all fall, take out your reusable carved pumpkin decor and display it again this year. Don't display them exactly the same way as you did last year though. If you don't have reusable pumpkins or jack-o-lanterns to display below is a fun list of the ones you can find on Amazon, ebay and a few other online stores. These days many of the fake (reusable) ones look almost as real as the real pumpkins. They might be even save you money and a lot safer to light a candle in a fake one than a real one.

What do you think about reusing carved pumpkins over and over again?

Share you super duper honest thoughts here or just say hi or don't maybe just wave, though I really wont be be able to see it and neither will anyone else unless you record it on video post it on You Tube and then send me the link, but that would be a lot of work so why not just leave a super duper honest comment.

I don't do the pumpkin thing, but reusable sounds like a great idea!

I so admire the way you have taken your "eco/reuse" brand an inch wide and a mile deep. Great work!

I think the reusable ones are cute, but I think I would miss the great times my family has while carving all our pumpkins.

I think it is time we start looking at reusing items over and over! As you said, there are things you can do to creatively display the same pumpkin each year.

I do love the pumpkins -- and I like the real ones best of all, but I learned years ago to use the "recycled" ones and love them too. I have a cloth stuffed pumpkin Ohme gave me that I display every year!
