A great timely topic for debate. Many cities are passing laws to ban plastic bags ~blessed

I visited my sister a while ago and we went to Lake Superior to find driftwood, Lake Superior glass and rocks. Shell brought us to the landfill which is less than a mile from the lake. The scene there was tragic with the woods the road littered with plastic bags hanging from tree branches. One picture does paint a thousand words.

If manufacturers stopped making flimsy plastic parts and made high quality ones as they used to thirty years ago, we'd throw less gadgets away too. It's very annoying to throw a flashlight away when the vital parts break because they are paper-thin!

I'm trying to be good about this. Some grocery stores in Canada charged 5 cents a bag if you used their bags. Everyone in line had their own cloth bag. Good method to get people to change.

This lens would make a great addition to the Reusable Bags group!

I use reusable bags much of the time--I have several "tote bags" from my own CafePress shops--but I also reuse the plastic bags that I get some of the time.

I've just heard some info about stores starting to charge people per plastic bag as an effort to make them think green!

I love your lens and the message for us to be more green -- I know our household needs to get better at plastic bags but they come in handy for all the cat litter from the ferals.

Thank you for this great lens! It's great to see someone spreading the word about the evils of waste! 5 stars!

I've got lots of 'em... the big IKEA bag holds a lot of stuff. And we collect all the different Trader Joe's styles. Squid Angel Blessed.

This lens is very well done. Ditto Kim's comment.

Great lens. I agree with everything you say & we already use reusable bags. Just wish the UK would follow Eire's lead and charge for everyone that people use.

I love my shopping totes. And, when I do get a plastic bag, it always gets used for other things also, then taken back to the store to be recycled. (I'm really glad the stores near me started offering that service.)

I have about 10 reusable bags that I keep in my trunk and use wherever I shop. Trader Joe's has a whole line of them in different sizes and styles. It's easy and good for the environment. Enough said!

I have some tote and messenger bags available at my shop at Cafepress which I think would be a nice addition to your lens :) http://www.cafepress.com/kerryswag/4436541

I use the CafePress totes every time I go to the grocery store. They hold a heck of a lot and are very durable - unless your dog decides to chew the handles off :)
