A Great Tool For The Professional and The Student | Sony PRS600 Ebook Reader
Being an RF Engineer I use my Sony PRS600 ebook reader almost daily to view schematics and block diagrams. When at communication sites while working on the various pieces of equipment at a communications system site. It has become an indispensable part of my tool kit. You can easily make notes and annotations freehand with the stylus. Notes can be exported--handy for the university crowd and other people on your staff, And it has a built-in Oxford American dictionary--you look up words simply by tapping on them.
The Sony Reader touch Edition PRS-600
A quick review of what I found was most useful of the reader's features.
The Reader Touch Edition PRS-600 has enough memory for up to 350 of your favorite books from anywhere. But I don't use it for books, in my work I can have up to 50 different communications sites that I have to deal with and each one has its own site manual, service manuals, and network information, all formatted in PDF. The PRS-600 has enough memory to store all of them, and my notes. It also has dual memory card slots which accept both Sony's Memory Stick and an SD Card up to 16gB. It is also easy to annotate and highlight right on the screen which makes it easy for me to correct mistakes in site manuals and my own notes. The Sony PRS-600 supports ePub and PDF both of which are industry standards. You will be able to download from Sony's eBook Store, check out books from the public library, and access over one million free public domain titles from Google.

Glare | A problem with the Sony PRS-600 eReader
Their is glare with the Sony ereader but I feel very strongly that the ease of use with being able to anotate and highlight with a stylus easily offsets the glare problem. This is going to be an individual thing, and I will send you to a video where you will be able to make your own decision.
