Review of Covet by Sarah Jessica Parker

Covet for me is a perfect perfume for important meetings when I want to smell fresh and feminine but I don't want something which doesn't shout. I put two spays of the EDP on my wrist at 2:30 in the afternoon. Within 1 minutes it had settled down into fresh geranium leaves with just a touch of sweetness and a hint of chocolate. The demoninant is fresh green on my skin with the other notes adding texture rather than clamouring for attention themselves.

After 10 hours it changed and I got vanilla for an hour or so. It wasn't unpleasant but personally I may wash it off at that stage; however, I suspect that phase is very intimate and wouldn't be noticeable to anybody who wasn't in close contact. The final phase was about 30 minutes of chocolate, very faint. For me a perfume which lasts for 10 hours and is consistent for that period makes it suitable for a day at work, particularly since it is a fresh green rather than a heady, distracting floral or a seductive gourmand.
