Golf Rangefinders

My husband is a golf guru. He has coached golf and played golf for at least 40 years. He really loves the golf rangefinders. He said it really helps golfers have a precise measurement of the distance to the green. Golf rangefinders will display distances to the green and hazards around the golf course. Read on for some tips to buying golf rangefinders.

Two types of rangefinders

Laser rangefinders and Golf GPS

Laser rangefinders are devices which use a laser beam in order to determine the distance to a reflective object. This in turn makes laser rangefinders very accurate. My husband likes the laser rangefinders because they are easy to read and easy to handle.

There are two major kinds of Golf GPS. Skycaddie and Garmin. Garmin is new to the game. As of this writing, Skycaddie is considered the leader.

Review of golf rangefinders

1. The first thing most golfers want the rangefinder to do is accurately measure the distance to the tee.
2. The rangefinder MUST be easy to use. No golfer wants to fiddle around with a difficult device on the course.
3. The rangefinder must be easy to read. The sun and the readout display can be detrimental to the golfer. The rangefinder must be easily readable.
4. The rangefinder must be within one's price range. Getting the most for one's money is important.

We use a golf GPS and find it quite helpful on the course. What will they think up next? I want a golf ball that is voice controlled, so I can tell it "stop" before it rolls into the water or a sand trap.

One doesn't have to be a golfer to love this film--Kevin Costner and Rene Russo are great acting together. Enough romance to make women enjoy this movie.
