Review of Scorpions for Breakfast by Jan Brewer

Its no secret that Arizona is famous for its stand on illegal immigrants and scorpions for Breakfast by Jan Brewer has indeed added more fuel to the fire.

Scorpions for Breakfast was published on 11/01/11 and has quickly became one of the most purchased books according to Amazon.com. Regardless where one stands on illegal immigrants this book provides great insight into why Arizona has taken such drastic and often controversial steps to secure their borders.

Scorpions for breakfast explains that the death of rancher Robert Krentz who was murdered along with his dog by an illegal alien found on his property on March 27 2010. Krentz death was the proverbial last straw that set the wheels in motion for Arizona to implement some of the nations toughest laws on immigration.

Equally important, Janet brewer's Scorpions for Breakfast goes into great detail highlighting the Federal Governments lack of concern and action when it comes to immigration and securing our nations borders.

As a new resident to Arizona I knew very little about Arizona's stance on immigration other then it was controversial until I read this book. This book tells story after story about how lax laws regarding illegal aliens has caused a great amount of chaos and even the death of many innocent people. It is also noteworthy that Governor Jan Brewer goes into great detail about her friend Gabby Gifford.

While my opinion of this book is mainly positive, I did find a number of inconsistencies and a few non truths but nobody is perfect and there is no such thing as a perfect book. I give the Governor of Arizona kudos for putting herself out there like she did in her book.

Scorpions for Breakfast by Jan Brewer is a great read for people who are on both sides of the spectrum when it comes to immigration issues. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about Arizona's stance on Immigration.
