Forget The Hype and Learn How to Make Money With Email Marketing -- That's What GuruSlayer is All About
Look, I'm as sick of overhyped Internet marketing products as anyone else. Maybe more so, just because of the sheer number of mailing lists I'm on and the number of product offerings I get bombarded with each day.
So I was very skeptical when Andrew Fox and his IM buddies started promoting "GuruSlayer". I took one for the team and bought the product so I can bring you this detailed review of GuruSlayer. (You can thank me later. Or better yet, leave a blurb in the guestbook below.)
Let's start with the "GuruSlayer" name. GuruSlayer has nothing to do with "slaying" gurus. It's kind of the opposite, actually: GuruSlayer is about BECOMING an email marketing guru.
The name's really a reverse psychology trick, isn't it? Almost a paradox, really: to become a guru slayer you must first become a guru yourself. Huh.
Alright, let's ignore the name. Let's also ignore all the hype that the Internet marketers are creating to promote the product and answer some of the important questions about GuruSlayer:
- What is GuruSlayer about?
- What do you get when you purchase GuruSlayer?
- Is GuruSlayer worth it?
- Can you make money selling GuruSlayer?
Read my answers and then come to your own conclusion about whether or not GuruSlayer is worth buying.
What is GuruSlayer About?
Forget all the hype, what is a "guru slayer" anyhow?
Or, to put it more simply: the money is in the list.
You've probably heard that expression before. That's because it's true: the best way to get people to buy from you is to get them on your mailing list and form some kind of a relationship with them. Not everyone will buy from you, and not everytime you mail them, either, but if your list gets big enough then every mailing you send will probably make you money.
So, no, there's no "slaying" of gurus in this product. It's really the reverse, about becoming a guru who can convince subscribers to buy products the guru promotes.
You're forgiven if you thought GuruSlayer was about something else. That's certainly what GuruSlayer.com makes you think. And that's the angle that various Internet marketers have pushed, too.
But the "gurus" are making money selling GuruSlayer themselves, so that in and of itself should prove that no one's out to "slay" any gurus.

Is GuruSlayer Worth It?
Does GuruSlayer live up to its hype?
If you're a newcomer to the Internet marketing business and you're looking for a step-by-step approach to making money online, GuruSlayer is a good product for you. That's because it gives you a clear set of steps to follow in setting up your online business. You'll still need to spend a lot of time figuring out various things (setting up a website with a squeeze page, thank you page, and download page; creating a series of messages for your autoresponder; creating a product to promote; etc.), but GuruSlayer gives you a plan to follow. Plus a lot of examples of what Andrew's done in the past, such as sample emails he's sent out to his list and so on.
If you're an (even moderately) experienced online marketer, GuruSlayer probably isn't for you. The only reason you'd want it is either to:
- get access to the affiliate center (see below), or
- see actual samples of what Andrew's done for your own educational purposes.
Promoting GuruSlayer For Profit

Anyone who buys the product gets access to the GuruSlayer affiliate center, which includes a number of useful resources for promoting GuruSlayer. - Very nice lense, Eric! I agreed with your review of Guru Slayer. It didn't offer too much more than I already knew, though I did find a few nuggets of useful info. I think a newbie will find it much more valuable. Check out my lense:
