The market is flooded with competition with too many choices to count. Of the major brands (Apple, Samsung, Motorola, ASUS, Acer, HP & Toshiba) you really can't go wrong no matter what you choose. That's why we like this country because we have options and we can pick the one that best suits our needs. If you like looks or apps are important to you get the IPad. If size matters and you must have the thinnest and lightest get the Galaxy Tab. If you want expandable storage options and connections get the Xoom or the ASUS. No matter what you choose for whatever the reason you really can't go wrong.

I've tried them all including the IPad (which everyone at my job has, BTW...have you ever seen a 63 year old professional woman playing bejeweled on her IPad? It's hilarious and I get to watch it every so often at work.) I've owned the Xoom and the Galaxy tab and have had the opportunity to give all these tablets a test drive.

Note*** Just because you choose something different from the majority of other people doesn't make it a diss to any other device that you didn't choose. It's a matter of personal choice. Also anyone who complains about a 4 oz. difference in weight who doesn't have arthritis (when the heaviest one only weighs 1.55 pounds and we used to carry around 10 and 15 lbs. laptops) should 1. Be ashamed of themselves and 2. Check out the inside of a gym, they actually have machines that will help strengthen your arms and hands.***

So my choice obviously was the HP and the reasons are the user interface and performance. I LOVE the OS. It's great! It's fast and smooth and all my coworkers with the IPad love my Touchpad's simple intuitive interface. You can actually pick it up and start using it without a manual. It feels familiar from day one. My best friend who is an IPad owner actually said he may get one himself he liked it so much. BTW...I like apps as much as the next guy but at some point there has to be just plain overkill. I find HP has enough apps even now that fulfill my needs. I find it very useful in my day to day and really wonder how I could get along without it! The multitasking is great as it supports my tendency to be ADD but I think nowadays we all have a touch of that. I've been able to sink all my email accounts to one place and check them all simultaneously. AWESOME! And...I can't wait for the Pre 3 to come out so that I can pass information between the two devices seamlessly just by placing the phone on top of the tablet! Dare I say INNOVATIVE! LOL!

I know I made the right decision...FOR ME! Whatever you decide to get I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy my HP Touchpad! Good Luck!
