Credit Cards with Travel Rewards
One example is the travel reward credit cards. A travel reward credit card gives you an opportunity to travel free. How? With every purchase you make using your card, you will be given points equivalent to mileage. When you've collected enough mileage points, you can book for a free flight and travel at no cost.

Most travel reward credit cards have partnerships with specific airlines. When a card holder collects enough points, he can make a reservation with the card's affiliated airline. Aside from free flights, travel reward credit cards often come with other reward packages such as discounted rates in hotel accommodations, discounts from dining establishments, gas stations, auto rentals, freebies, and others.

Even those who are not frequent travelers still find a travel rewards credit card as a useful tool. How? By enjoying discounted rates from hotels, restaurants, gas stations, and car rentals especially when friends and relatives give them a visit. Apart form travel rewards or frequent flier miles programs, other cards offer cash back programs, cash rebates, discounts, special deals and of course freebies.

It is also worth mentioning that travel reward credit cards may come with a 0% introductory offer either on purchases or on balance transfers. FAQs: Airline Frequent Flier Miles Credit Cards

frequently asked questions on airline frequent flier miles credit cards

Let's talk about the most common questions asked about frequent flier miles credit cards. Know the answers to the questions before you start choosing your own frequent flier mile credit card issuer:

How do you earn miles points on these credit cards?
Generally, points are earned based on the amount of purchases charged on the credit card. For instance, most credit cards give one point for every dollar spent on the card. One point is equivalent to one mile. As the card holder gathers his miles points, he must reach the minimum number of miles in order to qualify for the free travel ticket. In some cases, miles points can double depending on the credit card issuer.

How do you redeem your miles points?
Most credit cards have affiliations with specific airlines or carriers. In this case, the card holder can only claim his free travel ticket or get a discounted rate if he purchases his ticket from the affiliated airline. That is why it is important to make sure that your frequent flier miles credit card has affiliations with the airline you usually fly with.

Will your points expire?
This condition depends on the terms of your credit card issuer. Some credit cards impose a blackout date where the card holder must claim his reward or collect enough points within a given period. There are frequent flier programs however that do not impose blackout dates or expiration. It is recommended to look for credit cards without blackout dates so that you can be sure to claim your reward without hassle.

What about generic mileage credit cards?
Generic mileage credit cards are different from credit cards with frequent flier miles programs in the sense that it doesn't restrict you with just one specific airline or carrier. This means, you can choose the airline you want to purchase from or avail of your free ticket. Some consumers prefer to get generic mileage cards because it allows them to buy travel tickets that are sold at a discount. It also gives them more choices so waiting for available airline seats does not become a problem. Generic mileage cards also do not require an annual fee from their holders.

What is the advantage of frequent flier miles cards from generic mileage cards?

Travel Tips

5 Important, Must-Know Travel Tips For Successful Cheap Travels

Cheap travels is all about getting the best travel deals around. The following 5 travel tips are a great way to get started on making your vacation dollars stretch farther.

Cheap Travel Tip 1 - Shop Around You must shop around if you want to be successful in getting the budget travel you want. Shop on the Internet or visit your local travel agents. Different travel websites, and different travel agencies often have access to various specials and sales. So be sure to shop around for these hidden travel deals. Sometimes booking accommodation directly with a hotel may be more costly than booking with a travel agent or online hotel booking agent. So be sure to check out third-party hotel booking agents for more competitive room rates!

Airlines may also offer travel packages
(air tickets and accommodation). However, it is best to check the hotels and do a little research. This is because booking the air tickets and accommodation separately may actually save you some previous money. All it takes is a little of your time.

Cheap Travel Tip 2 - Picking The Right Season Consider traveling during the off-season. The hotels that are overbooked and expensive in the high season are often available at really attractive prices once the high season is over. Off-season travel also offers the advantage of smaller crowds and a more relaxed atmosphere.

Cheap Travel Tip 3 - Group Travel Many airlines and hotels offer discounts to groups. So if you are traveling with your friends and family, you may be able to save some money.

Cheap Travel Tip 4 - Last-minute Travel If you have flexible employment, you should take advantage of some fantastic last-minute deals. Cruise lines, airlines and hotels often offer discounts to avoid the expense and lost revenue of an empty cabin, airline seat or hotel bed.

Cheap Travel Tip 5 - Package Travel Deals For many destinations, especially exotic locations, airfare tends to be expensive. So package travel deals can be significantly less expensive than making your own arrangements. Many travelers also like the safety and security of traveling with a group. Opting for cheap travels doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice fun, excitement and adventure. There are many opportunities waiting for budget travelers who are willing to put in the time and effort to seek them out.

You can learn how to travel smart, avoid getting scammed, and what to do when things go wrong. Don't you think its time you learn how to save hundreds, perhaps even thousands, on your next trip or vacation? It's up to you to make your cheap travel or budget travels happen. *source

How Rewarding are Reward Credit Cards?

Who dislikes bonuses?

People are often enticed by attractive bonus offers and credit card offers are no different. Shrewd credit card companies are using lucrative credit card rewards to lure new customers in and sustain existing customers. Reward credit cards offer several key features that attract more customers into the fold. As a potential customer your duty is to distinguish between those genuinely beneficial reward credit card offers and those less promising reward credit cards. Many credit card issuers do offer a variety of rewards programs, however, they also find an innumerable number of ways to make up for those reward payouts with fees and charges that unsuspecting customers sometimes overlook.

Reward Credit Cards

If you are in the habit of paying off your balance each month, a reward credit card is ideal for you. Reward credit cards offer myriad rewards for using their respective cards. You can very easily earn reward points for merely making purchases with your card as well as a host of incentives that are offered in the form of additional redeemable reward points.

As you might suspect, card issuers and banks offer starkly contrasting reward redemption options. Credit card issuers give you the option to redeem your points in a variety of ways. Some cards give you an option to use your reward points on other purchased items. Some reward cards offer redemption toward free travel on specific airlines, discounts on merchandise, gas rebates, free entertainment discounts, movie tickets, or even straight cash back rebates. You can even earn a substantial discount on your next automobile purchase from some reward credit cards. *Source
