Robert Griffin III wins the 2011 Heisman Trophy - wearing Superman Socks with Cape

And the winner of the 2011 Heisman Trophy is.... SUPERMAN! aka Robert Griffin III. After one of the most exciting and unpredictable voting in the Heisman Trophy history, RG III as he is better known is this years best player in college football. The junior quarterback also became Baylor University's first Heisman winner beating out preseason favorite, Stanford's Andrew Luck. Alabama's Trent Richardson comes in third, Wisconsin's Monte Ball 4th and LSU's Tryann Mathieu 5th.

Before the presentation of the winner, RG III took a deep breath and waited for the annoucement. When his named was called, he smiled and stood up and hugged his coaches, his parents, his sister, and his fiance. While walking up to the stage, he let out a laugh and flashed the now famous Superman socks complete with capes in the back. Excepting his prize he said, "This is unbelievably believable". ""It's unbelievable because in the moment we're all amazed when great things happen. But it's believable because great things don't happen without hard work."
