Rice Pudding Recipe Directions
Just follow these simple directions!

- Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 1 quart milk
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs- beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350 F (175 degrees C). Butter a 2 quart baking dish.
2.In a 2 quart saucepan over medium heat, scald the milk and remove from heat. Add the rice, sugar and salt. Mix well and slowly add the eggs, vanilla, and butter. Pour mixture into a 2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle nutmeg on top. Bake for 40 minutes. Stir the pudding after 20 minutes.
3. Serve warm or chilled with a light dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg.

- This reminded me so much of my childhood years. Mum made the best rice pudding (the recipe looks the same as yours.) We lived on a small farm and we had a couple of cows. One of our cows produced really creamy milk and I am convinced that mum's puddings were made from that milk. Yummy! Thank you for the memories you stuffed into this pudding lens. Blessed.
