What is an affiliate?
An affiliate is an independant organization or person, who is willing to promote a product or a service, in exchange for a commission should that product be purchased, or lead generated as a result of your online promotional efforts.

What is a merchant?
A merchant is an organization or individual who sells a product or service, and accepts orders and payment for those orders. Merchants pay commissions to affiliates for sales generated through their online promotional efforts.

What is Performance Marketing, a.k.a., Affiliate Marketing?
A method for Merchants to increase their sales while only paying those affiliates who are performing. Commissions are paid out on events only, such as when a sale takes place, or a lead is generated.

How can I get a hold of someone at ShareASale?
Once you become an active merchant on the ShareASale network, you will receive the phone number of your support representative. Affiliates and Sales questions can be directed to shareasale@shareasale.com, or call our general office number at 312-321-0487.

Do I have to pay anything to be an affiliate?
It is FREE to join the ShareASale network as an affiliate.

Are there requirements to be an affiliate?
Affiliates must have a valid web site address, and valid email address in order to participate. Affiliates can differentiate themselves by having a top-level-domain name, and by providing a description of their intent to participate on the ShareASale network. Membership to the network is controlled by shareasale.com, and we may review/reject/accept any application for any reason. We strive to bring in quality sites to our network, both affiliate and merchant alike.

How do I see reports on my earnings?
You can access your account at anytime, 24 hours a day - 7 days a week, using the username and password that you selected when signing up for your account. The reporting is all web based, and user-friendly for your conveinence.

Can I become an affiliate if I live outside the United States?
ShareASale is available in many countries, you can select your country from the available list during signup. If your country is not on the list, we apologize, but we cannot provide service to your country. Form more information about our international acceptance, please visit here.

How does ShareASale track the sales and the leads on the Web?
We use cookies to track leads and sales through affiliate's websites. The cookies are only used to identify affiliate generated sales, and we do not collect any other information for any other purpose with these cookies. Upon an event, such as a lead or a sale, we are able to determine the total amount of commission paid to the affilaite, and the affiliate that was responsible for that sale.

How does ShareASale know which affiliate to credit for which sale?

Since each link redirects first to the ShareASale servers, and then to the Merchant's site, we are able to match up at the event of a sale or lead, with the affiliate who caused the action.

What about the customers who don't have cookies turned on in their browser?
Our research indicates that nearly 99% of internet users have cookies enabled on their browser. Cookies are an integral part of the web, and aid in the creation of e-commerce website, user-friendly websites, and other customized sites. In the uncommon event, however, that a customer has cookies disabled on their browser, the customer is not available for tracking, and sales will not be tracked.

When cookies are used, what information is available to ShareASaler?
We do not profile customers, aggregate data for analysis on customer preferences, or store any customer data. We use cookies solely for the purpose of providing an affiliate management solution, and only generic information about a customer is used.

Is there fraud prevention on the ShareASale network?
We have many automated tools in place to alert us to possible fraud. Our team also monitors the activities of merchants and affiliates alike, to make sure that there is no suspicious activity. ALL checks are reviewed before they are sent, and fraudulent users will NOT be paid ANY commissions. The fact is that most people who attempt to fraud merchants or affiliates, are not very good at it, and are easy to spot, catch, and terminate from the network. We have a ZERO tolerance policy for fraud, no exceptions, no second chances.

How and When will I be paid for my generated sales and leads?
We issue payments via check and Direct Deposit on the 20th of each month. These payments are made to those affiliates who have reached the $50 minimum BEFORE the end of the previous month. For example, if an affiliate earns $50 by the end of February, they are paid those commissions on March 20th. If the affiliate did not reach the $50 minimum until March 1st, those commissions would be paid on April 20th. We have to allow time for merchants to review sales and leads in the case of returns, invalid credit cards, or even fraud.

Can I refer a friend to the ShareASale network and be paid for it?
If you refer your friend through the links provided with the ShareASale affiliate program, you can earn $1 per signup as an affiliate, and 5% of their future earnings.

How can I be paid faster?

We pay many of our affiliates through Direct Deposit, which is a fast and easy way to receive payments.

What kinds of stats are available for the affiliates?
Each transaction is logged on our servers, and available for review in detail. We also keep aggregate stats on the number of hits, leads, sales, and paid clicks.

What kinds of products can I promote on my website?
The merchants at ShareASale offer a wide variety of products and services. Affiliates can search by category for any merchant that might fit their need, and link either directly to the merchants site, or utilize direct product links.

What types banners or advertisements are their available?

Banners come in all shapes and sizes, and each individual merchant uploads a variety of banners for affiliates to choose from.

What kind of computer or technical skill is needed to be an affiliate?
Affiliates will need to be somewhat familiar with HTML, so that they can correctly Copy & Paste the linking code from ShareASale, and place it within a web page, or within the body of an email message.

How much time is required to get started?

It takes only a few minutes to sign up, and after that...it is up to you. If you are familiar with HTML and Copy&Paste, you should be able to get your first link loaded in only a few minutes.

Where or How do I find a specific merchant, or merchants to partner with?
Affiliates can browse either by type of program (Pay-Per-Sale, Per-Lead, or Per-Click), category (Cars, Sports, Health, Fashion, etc...), or by looking in the "New Programs" bin, which contains programs less than 20 days old.

Payout #2 is your commission (Com.) THESE ARE THE BIG CHECKS. Your commission is a percentage of the Success Fee that we receive from the Lender when the loan is funded. This fee can be from 3% and up of the loan amount.

Example: You will receive a commission of 30% on the points charged to the client on each loan. So, on that $1.4 million dollar loan with 3% charged the total success fee to Real Business Loans, LLC would be $40,000 and your commission would be $12000, in addition to the up-front Initial Loan Packaging fee that you received, with little or no work on your part.
