Best of Robert Kiyosaki - his philosophy, Cash Flow game and his books.
Robert Kiyosaki became famous a decade ago with his Rich Dad, Poor Dad book. Since then he has produced lots of books, CDs, Cash Flow games. Besides generating a lot of controversy, he has also done a credible job of teaching many poeple how to approach investing and business at a level of spohistication previously available only to the chosen few. Needless to say, not all his stuff is great. This lens concentrates on his best work - if you want to read more about Robert and his other works - visit http://www.wealthencyclopedia.com/RobertKiyosaki.html
[9/19/2008] After the recent bailout of Wall Street and banking industry (thank you fellow Americans for the $4000 that each man, woman and child contributed to saving the private jets of the financial fat cats), it's become clear what Kiyosaki has been talking about for years - stock market is and will continue to be in trouble, and you better understand the difference between being an investor or a trader. It also underscores his wisdom in having majority of his wealth in real estate, businesses, and preciouse metals, not in the stock market, which is full of crooked companies, crooked CEOs, and the government changes rules of the game whenever it feels like it.
Some of the Key Points from Kiyosaki's books:
2. Buy assets.
3. Becoming an investor or starting a business is a necessity if you want to be wealthy - saving will no longer work, since the government is constantly eroding value of the dollar (inflation).
4. The rich do not work for money - they make their money work for them.
5. It does not take (your own) money to make money.
Best Books and THE GAME
Rich Dad's Guide to Investing: What the Rich Invest in, That the Poor and the Middle Class Do Not!
Main themes of the book are: What is your plan - are you planning to be rich, middle class or poor?
Risk can be controlled through knowledge.
Once you figure it out, investing should be boring - just repeat what worked before.
Kiyosaki also describes the structure necessary to create a successful busines.
Rich Dad's Retire Young, Retire Rich
It's all about leverage - leverage of knowledge, attitude, and action. Kiyosaki also writes about more sophisticated ways to trade in the stock market - puts, calls, straddles, short selling and hedging.
Rich Dad Cashflow 101
The game that started the whole Rich Dad phenomenon.
Kiyosaki wrote the original Rich Dad Poor Dad book as an advertisement for the game - and the book took off, becoming a bestseller. The game itself is fabulous.
We have played the game with friends, family - it never ceases to amuse and educate. It painlessly teaches the basics of finance and investing. I have played it with teenagers and CFOs - everyone enjoys it and finds it challenging. I am not a big fan of board games, but this was the best $200 I ever spent on a game.

Rich Dad's Advisors: Guide to Investing In Gold and Silver: Protect Your Financial Future
Excellent book, includes discussion of ratios and when, what and how to buy and sell silver and gold.
Robert Kiyosaki talks about Cashflow 101 game.
Kiyosaki seminars
They have real estate seminars and stock market trading seminars.
While I have not attended any, I have listened to the "mini-seminars", ie. sales pitches for the full blown events.
Having looked at the topics covered in both, I must say that real estate seminar looked pretty solid - and at a cost of $599 we were quoted - it certainly is cheaper than most out there - yet looked pretty comprehensive for a basic real estate investment training.
The stock market trading seminar, similarly priced, appeared to be less of a value - partially because it relies on subscription software - need to pay monthly fee.
The other reason in my mind, why it's not such a great deal is because of the implied promise
of a simple, easy and low risk approach to trading stocks and options - based on technical analysis - well, it is not that simple easy - if it were, than the big Wall Street houses, and hedge funds would have already figured it out - after all they have legions of programmers and enough computing power to run medium sized countries, But if one looks at the seminar as a basic introduction to stock market and technical analysis - then the seminar is a pretty good value.
Kiyosaki's other books
While thinking about money - don't forget the little ones! They need to play everyday!
I think getting toys that make kids happy is one of the best investments anyone can make - remember - they will never be kids again.
Here is a link to a whole bunch of electronic toys for little ( and not so little ) kids.

- Great lens, you certainly have a comprehensive collection of Robert Kiyosaki resources. I really enjoyed reading "rich dad, poor dad" and the "cashflow quadrant" and I'm working of making these part of my life.
