What do you think?

From the lens The Richest People In The World!.

  • ogrote May 30, 2012 @ 4:35 pm | delete
Very Interesting. It only takes one brilliant idea at a time to make a million - just a pity these ideas are so few and far between and is sometimes not being recognised as brilliant!

Great lens betsuzie - the advise of finding out what successful people do and model your thinking after them is priceless. You're right - we grew up in an era that told us to get a job, stay there, work hard and you too can have the American Dream. For many, it just doesn't work that way. You have to be willing to stick your head above the crowd, and sometimes swim upstream... not easy, but worth the effort!
  • betsuzie Feb 17, 2012 @ 11:03 am | delete
I completely agree with you on that! I don't think we should rely on a job anymore to live the American dream of financial freedom, you need to do your own thing. Whatever that might be. For each person it's something a little different.
  • AHPVolution Feb 16, 2012 @ 7:34 pm | delete
Loved that you mentioned the wealth mindset. So many people get confused between a wealth mindset and a "get-rich-quick" mindset. Bravo on this lens!!
  • betsuzie Feb 17, 2012 @ 11:06 am | delete
Yes, I think a lot of people don't want to wait for the wealth or sometimes can't wait for it to happen. But, I have learned that if you are persistent and have some patience, and don't stress over trying to get wealthy so fast it starts to happen :)
  • DJam1 Feb 15, 2012 @ 6:16 pm | delete

I did a career's assessment on the sons of a guy who was high on the rich list. I ended up feeling sorry for these charming lads; they could have anything, so nothing had value or real meaning. There was no way they could compete with his wealth, and the need to earn was taken out of the equation; so they had to look at different ways of proving themselves - they were very interesting cases.
  • socleva24 Dec 8, 2011 @ 10:19 am | delete
Great post and nice to know that so many of the rich guys started out struggling.Of course it takes a lot of determination, hard work and luck to get to where they are now.

Okay, any ladies on the list that are self-made billionaires? Oprah has to be fairly close.
    Maybe it will be you:)
  • betsuzie Nov 11, 2011 @ 9:09 am | delete

The whole aspect behind the lens is that we all can reach there! it's all about belief in oneself to succeed and going behind it! Not allowing it to be just a dream but a manifestation of reality!

Excellent lens! Really inspirational, but I really think that what attracts people is not really money, but the freedom that supposedly comes with it.
  • promotional-coupons-codes Apr 7, 2011 @ 3:45 am | delete
Most inspiring lens. Most of the people want to be on that list me too but in a different way something different I just don't want to earn money but wisdom too that's the goal of my life
  • betsuzie Apr 7, 2011 @ 7:52 am | delete
Hi, I agree with you about the wisdom. To gain wealth you need to gain wisdom. I read Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich". If you haven't read it already, I recommend checking it out.
