Rick Simpson - Run from the cure

A man who insists he has found the cure for cancer says he is leaving Canada for an unnamed country where he can live without fear of persecution or prosecution for taking and producing medicinal marijuana. "I can?t live in a country where I and others are labelled as criminals because of our medical need for this (marijuana) medication," Ricky Logan Simpson, 58, said Friday. "I?ve decided that after five years of trying to bring my medicine to the people, I don?t like the way this country is run. It seems that the health and welfare of the people means nothing to the (politicians) in Ottawa."
Mr. Simpson made the comments outside Nova Scotia Supreme Court moments after Justice Felix Cacchione fined him $2,000 and sentenced him to one day in jail, considered served by his court appearance, for producing marijuana and possessing less than three kilograms of tetrahydrocannabinol for the purpose of trafficking. Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is the main active ingredient in marijuana.

We receive hundreds of emails each week from people all over the world who have used the information in the documentary to cure themselves and have since emailed thanking Mr. Simpson for helping them. The documentary has been distributed globally, has been screened at several film festivals and has been uploaded on YouTube as well as many torrent sites so the information can be shared with as many people as possible. Mr. Simpson has received the support of many, including the American College of Physicians, Hemp Activist Jack Herer, and Cannabanoid Researcher Dr. Robert Malamede PhD. to name only a few. He continues to do local speaking engagements and has been a guest on many radio talk shows throughout America. In order to reach even more people Rick Simpson and his team have tentatively planned a 26 city Canadian Tour of seminars to educate the public about the amazing application of hemp medicine and hemp's potential to help create a green earth.

    iv just had my second dose of chemo and NO MORE .how the hell can that help me when it causes allergic reactions and poisons me .iv just read ricks story and im in x docxtors and goverments need to wise up we are not looking for a drug fix but a cure to help us live .i know who im following .thanks rick much love x

    We support your efforts to inform those who suffer. There are countless unnecessary hours of human suffering that occur because of ignorance of the fact that cannabis is medicine. That reality is the most expensive secret that has been kept from humans. Cannabis and those who profit from ignorance and lack of compassion are natural opponents. If we embrace this plant in a conscious manor our experience tells us she can heal.

    Like I have said before - HE should get the nobel prize! He has discovered and shared something with the world the likes of which will most likely not be seen again. No one can top what Rick Simpson has done in order to try to help the world.

    Rick Simpson is a true inspiration. His determination to get his findings out there and acknowledged is only to be admired and the reactions from the medical world only go to prove that they really don't care about our health, all they care about is profits and control. Depriving people of this amazing plant is nothing short of a crime against Humanity. Apart from it's very obvious and vital health benefits this plant could go a long way to solving the problems of the world with the amount of things that can be applied to. It's outrageous prohibition is, to me, proof that the powers that be have an agenda that will eventually destroy our planet. They must be stopped.
