Rico J. Delodovici 's energetic approach to life is due in large part to his early career as a high school athlete. During his time at Balboa High School in San Francisco, Rico J. Delodovici was a member of the football and track and field teams. As a football player, he served as center and linebacker. Rico J. Delodovici was honored at least three times by his fellow team members and his coaches. In track and field, Rico J. Delodovici finished among the top six contestants in San Francisco for three consecutive years in the arena of shot put and discus. Rico J. Delodovici 's junior college football endeavors, with City College of San Francisco, saw him named Most Valuable Offensive Lineman, despite being one of the smallest players in that position.

Rico J. Delodovici majored in English at California State University, now Cal State East Bay, located in Hayward, Calif. He graduated with honors in 1978 with a B.A. in English. Some years later, Rico J. Delodovici went back to school for further education, this time to Golden Gate University in San Francisco. There he studied accounting and graduated with honors in 1992 with a Certificate in Accounting.

After gaining experience working for various accounting and tax firms, Rico J. Delodovici purchased an accounting firm in 1999. Rico J. Delodovici served as owner and principal of Larson Tax Service for nine years. He sold the business in 2007 while continuing to serve as a consultant to the firm.

Rico J. Delodovici specialized in tax preparation and planning for individuals and small businesses. He is an advocate for taxpayer rights who represents the interests of taxpayers at audit and collections procedures. Rico J. Delodovici holds the designation, Enrolled Agent, which is a federally licensed tax professional.

Rico J. Delodovici is an active member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the California Society of Enrolled Agents, particularly CSEA affiliate Golden Gate Chapter. A past-president of the chapter, Rico J. Delodovici has served more than 10 terms on the chapter's Board of Directors and three terms on the CSEA Board of Directors. Rico J. Delodovici also served as tax agency liaison committee chair for CSEA for five years.

In his spare time, Rico J. Delodovici has studied drawing at a gallery in San Francisco for more than six years. He is also an amateur musician, playing guitar at the Blue Bear School of Rock and Blues in San Francisco.

Reprising his earlier athletic years, Rico J. Delodovici enjoys open water swimming, tai chi and the Alexander Technique, which teaches effortless movement and posture as applied to daily life.

Tax Expertise
Rico Delodovici is federally licensed as an Enrolled Agent. He is known for his fierce advocacy of taxpayer rights as well as his listening skills with clients in need of effective, nonjudgmental tax advice and resolution. Rico Delodovici has provided clients with a full array of individual and small-business services, including tax preparation, planning, audit representation and assistance in collections procedures. A member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, Rico Delodovici has been active in the California Society of Enrolled Agents. Rico Delodovici served three terms on the CSEA's board of directors and was the society's Tax Agency Liaison Committee Chair for five years, leading the committee's efforts to foster better communication between tax professionals, the Internal Revenue Service, the Franchise Tax Board, Employment Development Department and others.

Rico Delodovici has also been very active in the Golden Gate Chapter of the CSEA, serving as president and leader from 2001 to 2002 and completing more than 10 terms on its Board of Directors.

Rico Delodovici also served two terms on the Franchise Tax Board Advisory Council, a group of citizens and professionals that advised the board on tax issues.

Rico Delodovici is a popular public speaker, giving lively speeches on topics including "Ethics for Tax Professionals."

Academics
In addition to attending the City College of San Francisco, Rico Delodovici earned a BA in English in 1978 from what is now Cal State East Bay University in Haywood, Calif., graduating with honors. Rico Delodovici returned to school to attend San Francisco's Golden Gate University, where he earned a Certificate in Accounting in 1992, again graduating with honors.

Athletics
Rico Delodovici is proud of his high-school and college athletic career. At Balboa High School, San Francisco, Rico Delodovici was an outstanding football player and track and field star. He won the Pterodactyl Award for outstanding play and leadership. In 1973, Rico Delodovici was named to the San Francisco Examiner All City Team and was named Coaches All Conference at Center. That same year, Rico Delodovici's team, the Balboa Buccaneers, went undefeated, ultimately claiming the Academic Athletic Association Championship. In Track and Field at Balboa, Rico Delodovici was top-six in shot put and discus for three consecutive years, setting a discus record that went unbroken for several seasons.

Rico Delodovici also played junior college football for the City College of San Francisco, where he was named Most Valuable Offensive Lineman in 1976, an honor all the more impressive given that Rico Delodovici was one of the smallest linemen in the Golden Gate Conference.

More recently, Rico Delodovici has been an adherent of Tai Chi and Total Immersion swimming, which emphasizes mindfulness and skill. Rico Delodovici also studies the Alexander Technique, which emphasizes effortless movement and posture in everyday life.

Music and Arts
Rico Delodovici is a musician and artist. Rico Delodovici has studied drawing at San Francisco's 23rd Street Gallery for more than six years. As an amateur musician interested in rock, power pop and blues guitar, Rico Delodovici has studied guitar at the Blue Bear School of Rock and Blues in San Francisco.
