Rie Tanaka is a Japanese singer and voice artist (seiyu), who has played many important roles in anime, video games, and radio dramas. She has also done some opening and ending songs for various shows, and released a few CDs.

Biography of Rie Tanaka
Rie Tanaka was born on January 3rd, 1979 in Sapporo, (Hokkaido, Japan). As a child, she took singing classes and performed in a number of concerts. After graduating from high school, Tanaka joined a popular animation company in Tokyo and started her career as a voice actress.
She is currently very popular in Japan, having a fan club named 'Café de Rie'. She has also released two albums: '24 Wishes', which contains some Chobits songs and a few new tracks, and 'Garnet', which contains a jazz version of 'Kiss Kara Hajimaru Miracle', a song she performed for 'Steel Angel Kurumi' anime. Tanaka is also a member of the Steel Angels, a singing trio composed of the three lead seiyuu of said anime, which besides her include Atsuko Enomoto and Masayo Kurata.

- Excellent tribute to the seiyu Rie Tanaka! I've seen some of those animes you mentioned and wouldn't have guessed that the characters were voiced by one person. Feel free to add this lens to the plexo on my Japanese celebrities lens. ~Blessed~

- hi im so happy cause i join her. Im a fan of gundam seed and also i love rie tanaka im totally addicted to her song. when im sad i just listen to her songs. She is so preety and i love her voice. Fields of Hope and Quiet Night are one of my favorite songs, if i had one wish, i wish that i could see her face to face maybe i will just goin crazy. I LOVE YOU RIE TANAKA TAKE CARE ALLWAYS...... : )

- It's been a year already and I am STILL A HUGE FAN OF RIE TANAKA AND LACUS CLYNE!!!! OMG Tanaka-sama's song totally inspired me to write fanfics dedicated to LACUS and Kira hehehehe love those couple so much! Fields of Hope and Quiet Night (Shizukana Yoruni) are still my main inspiration for all of the things I do as a hobby, school, and more!!!!
Aside from being overly fanatic with Lacus (I have no regrets, I'll love her until I die!), I love how Rie is the voice actress of the main female protagonist from Dual! God that anime brings back good ol' and fond memories... OH and that cat-girl head maid from UFO ultramaiden valkyrie and the maid from Hayate Combat butler.... ooo and no to mention CHOBITS!!!! LOVE YOU RIE!!!!!

i've only ever heard her from Chobits
and Felids of Hope, but I've never watched gundam SEED haha
she has such a wonderful voice, and like her, if I sounded like that
I would too be doing voices for anime and singing =)

- OMG! Lacus, er.. I mean, Rei Tanaka is seriously my idol in many levels! She's pretty, charming, wonderfully nice (in my opinion), has a beautiful voice, and well... she's overall a GODDESS! I mean like she's an icon in many things, peace, love, music, many more! I LOVE YOU RIE TANAKA!!!

- Rie Tanaka's voice in Mega Man Zero video game series is perfect for voicing Ciel! And I really love her voice in the song Freesia (RTRZ Physis) that I studied the lyrics even if I don't speak Japanese XD and now I can sing Freesia with all the lyrics almost no mistake! It's true believe it! Freesia and Rie Tanaka always make my day every single day! :D

- I love Gundam Seed. My fave char is Cagalli but I like Lacus too. Rie's voice jives well with Lacus's personality. P.S.:She's a good singer too!
