- Alabama River
- The course of the Alabama is tortuous. Its width varies from 200 to 300 yards (200 to 300 m), and its depth from 3 to 7 feet (1 to 2 m). Its length is 312 miles (502 km).
- Yukon River - Alaska
- The Yukon River is a major watercourse of the Northwestern North America. The longest river in Alaska and Yukon.
- Colorado River - Arizona
- With more than 500 miles of the Colorado River either running through the state or forming its border, the Colorado River is a major part of Arizona.
- Arkansas River
- At 1450 miles (2334 km) it is the fourth longest river in the United States.
- Eel River, California
- The Eel River is the third largest river in California. It carves deep canyons down great mountains, through flat valleys, and past majestic and ancient redwood forests. The Eel River spans 5 counties with a total of 3,448 river miles including tributaries. The Eel River Basin drains 3,684 square miles.
- The Tuolumne River in California
- The Tuolumne, or "T" as it is known among whitewater aficionados is "The Champagne of Whitewater" and "The King of Sierra Rivers." It is certainly the finest whitewater river in the state, and no river can claim as many rapids per mile.
- South Fork American River, California
- The South Fork lies in the golden hillsides of the Sierra Nevada foothills, just forty miles east of Sacramento, California.

- My favorite river is the Madison River here in Montana. We fly fish it a lot and treasure the experience of floating rivers, this one and the other great rivers of the west.

- I love the West River in Vermont with it's great swimming holes and the reflection of the leaves in fall. I also love tubing down the White River also in Vermont.
