Riverwood Mansion: Nashville Wedding Location

An extremely popular Nashville wedding location is Riverwood Mansion found in the Ingelwood area.

Riverwood Mansion is so popular that many are turned away. So that more people can use the venue, the owners instituted a special wedding package for couples that would be willing to have a morning-time wedding.

As a minister, I have performed some of these morning weddings at Riverwood, and they are quite nice. A morning wedding can be very comfortable, especially in the warmer months, and the brunch is always good!

The mansion was built in the late 1790's, with a few additions made over the years. But what you see when you go out there today is the basic look of one hundred years ago! If you visit, you'll be impressed with the many old trees that surround the several-acre property, as well as the mansion's magnificent columned front porch.

A lot of famous people, including several presidents, have visited Riverwood over its long history. There's even a story about a ghost of some kind that hangs around. Be sure to ask them about that.

Riverwood Mansion has a large staff to take care of everything for your wedding. You just have to show up and enjoy the day. I've often commented to couples that it's like it is your home for the day. You invite your friends and family to come to your "home" and have your servants tend to their every need.
