Cockroach Information
There are many different kinds of Cockroaches. Some are large and some are small but they are all pretty much the same thing. Cockroaches are a very hardy bug that can completely ruin a house in just a few months, especially if something isn't done to stop them.
Cockroach Facts
* It only takes one fertile female cockroach carrying an egg case to infest an entire home.
* Egg cases can hold over 40 baby cockroach eggs inside of them.

Natural Methods of Cockroach Control
Duct Tape
Duct tape is my favorite method for trapping cockroaches. Duct tape is not exactly organic and all-natural but it's definitely a non-toxic solution to cockroach-killers or bug spray. Duct tape is very convenient!
Using Duct tape to trap roaches :
Take a piece of duct tape about 1 to 2 feet long, scrunch the tape up into a ball. Leave as much of the sticky side up as possible. The sticky side of the tape is the only part that traps roaches. Place the ball of duct tape in an area that roaches use as a doorway. Most of the roaches will get stuck. You can also place a tiny piece of food on the ducktape to attract the first few roaches.
Based on my research, I've concluded that, after one cockroach has gotten stuck to a piece of duct tape, more cockroaches will follow it's scent trail (made up of pheromones/urine/feces) right onto the duct tape. Yes that's right, the roaches will march one by one, onto the duct tape and get stuck. Most roaches will live for quite a while after getting stuck to the tape, it's a pretty sad site. So it's best to throw out and replace the duct tape often. Remember that moving the duct tape will also move the scent trail (potentially confusing the roaches that your trying to trap.) If the tape becomes too full, then the roaches can just step on the other "stuck" roaches, allowing them to successfully cross over the duct tape without getting stuck.
Sticky Mouse Traps
Although not as cheap as a roll of duct tape, sticky traps are also effective when it comes to trapping roaches. Most sticky traps are safe for pets and people. Check the packaging before buying to make sure that the item is non-toxic.
