I'd Like To Register With You. How Do I Do That?

How To Register With Roath House Surgery

If you live within our practice area, then we'd like to have you as our patient. Just give us a ring and check to see that we're still taking on new patients, as well as whether we cover the area where you live.

When you come into the Practice, you will need to complete some registration forms and will be asked to make an appointment with the practice nurse for a simple health check.

If you've got an NHS medical card, please bring this with you when you come in to register with us.

What If I Can't Make It Into The Surgery?

If you're too unwell to physically manage coming into the Surgery, we can offer you Telephone Advice or a Home Visit. These are reserved for those who actually can't make it into the Surgery so please do not misuse them if you actually can come in to be seen.

However if you can't then please don't hesitate to ask for either or both because they're there to be used.

You can request these by calling the Surgery on 02920461100 BETWEEN 9a.m. and 10.30a.m.

What If I Want To Find Out My Test Results?

At the time of your test, you will be told when you can expect the results. On the day that you ring to inquire about them, please call us AFTER 11a.m. Prior to this time the phone lines are prioritised for patients who need to make an appointment or are in need of telephone advice from the doctor.

After 11a.m., you can talk to a member of staff on reception who will give you your results as well as the course of action outlined by the doctor.

And Repeat Prescriptions?

There are 3 ways you can request repeat prescriptions...and none of them involve the phone! You can request your repeat prescription by:

1)Bringing in a written notice to reception 2 working days before you require it.
2)Posting your request, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope.
3)Online: you can register for this service by going to www.repeatprescriptionsystem.com

Please do not request repeat prescriptions over the telephone as we would like to avoid any error in filling out your prescription, as well as to keep the lines free for urgent calls.
