Robbie Williams married actress Ayda Field, at their Los Angeles home on August 07, 2010. Robbie Williams wedding followed months of speculation as to whether the wedding would ever take place.
News of a wedding first surfaced in early November 2009, when Robbie Williams mother said her son asked his girlfriend of the last three years to be his "betrothed for the end of time" on an Australian radio show. The initial reaction was that it was a joke.
However, following the radio show, Robbie Williams' mother, Jan Williams informed BBC Radio 5 that her son had told her about his plans "a week ago". Jan Williams said on BBC radio that she was "really pleased" for the couple, adding: "I've always wanted a daughter-in-law."
On being asked when she thought the wedding would take place, Mrs Williams said: "I don't think it will be that far in the not-too-distant future, but that's all I'm going to say on that."
