Rob Halford's sister was the girlfriend of Ian Hill, Judas Priest's bass player. One day while visiting her, Ian Hill heard Rob singing along to a song on the radio and was impressed enough to ask Rob to audition for the vacant position of vocalist for Judas Priest - and the rest is history!

Aside from his work with Judas Priest and his own bands, Rob Halford has performed onstage as the vocalist for Black Sabbath replacing Ronnie James Dio for two nights in November 1992, and again on August 25, 2004 standing in for Ozzy Osbourne who was suffering from bronchitis.

- One of the first Metal bands I heard when I was just getting into music was priest. I was always trying to sing like Halford but sounded more like a drowning cat.LOL

- Rob Halford, the priest of Judas Priest and Heavy Metal! The original master of the "scream technique"! and although he is already in his 60's, this man can still scream(ing for vengeance) and with their new album "Nostradamus", they still prove to the Heavy Metal world that they are still the Metal Gods! To show the world I'm a true Priest fan, I even put some pictures of them on my personalized checks & I've done that when i order checks online ! You should try it out, too! Great way to praise the Gods of Heavy Metal!
