"Welcome to Robocity!"

Let me introduce to you guys. My name's Ironhide Fastery, I'm a citizen of Robocity and I'm volunteering for our Leaders to help them manage the Squidoo page for our community. You can see a photo of me (at age 10) in the photo here on the left.

I bet you're curious about this community whose name reminds of Isaac Asimov's story, a videogame and other websites that carry the same name: Robocity (or its variants "Robot City" and "RobotCity"). I am here to explain everything to you. Feel free to read and comment my articles. I bet you will have fun and I will be there to answer your questions. :)

History of Robocity

Because knowledge IS power!

Robocity was founded on February 15th, 1994, as a refuge for scrapped robots. It started out as a single building, with a bunch of apartments, which was all our Founder - a nine years old girl at the time - could get from the municipality.

    Hi! My name is Mandi, I have a few questions, if you don't mind me asking them.

    1) How long have you been in RoboCity?

    2) Is there an "original group" of the first robots to live in the city?

    3) How much has the place grown since it began with the nine year old girl?

    Dear Mandi,

    Your questions are most welcome. :) I hope my humble answers will help you understand our town better, and we would be happy for you to come over visit us one day.

    1) I became a Robocity citizen on 2000, after I was labeled as a failure by my creator, Joshua, a so-called "mad scientist" for what I can remember. Speeder, a senior Robocitan, rescued me, and he later became my adoptive father, on 2002. I'm very young as of yet, but I look forward to become a good, helpful citizen of Robocity, and perhaps a Leader too, one day. :)

    2) Yes, there is an "original group" of Robocitans, our "Senior Citizens". I'm not well informed on all of their names, but upon foundation of our town, the following first inhabitated Robocity: LadyJet, Aquila, Primus, Commander, Speeder, Firebot.

    3) Robocity was a one-building only minicity at first, when it was found back on 1994. Nowadays it has 3 buildings plus 1 on on-going construction, and it gives a home to over 300 Robocitans.

    I love how RoboCity is a haven for scrapped robots, a way of saying, "You are still important and deserve a good life." RoboCity symbolizes the beauty of a second chance to me!

    What I like most about Robocity is its unity and sense of belonging between its inhabitants. I always dreamed a world like Robocity. :)
