Women on Squidoo Create Lenses to Support Humanitarian Causes
The 2010 earthquake in Haiti was the inspiration for this page, or lens as we call them on Squidoo. January 2011 was the one year anniversary and the 2nd anniversary will be here soon. In the past year natural disasters seem to have multiplied many times.
I thank Bonnie for suggesting this Squidoo page, and giving me the opportunity to put it together.
You can add your site to the list on this page if 50% of any income generated by the page supports a humanitarian charity that helps those recovering from natural disaster, like Save the Children, and there are others. I have more information about some organizations at this page about natural disaster relief and how you can help, though it is not a complete list. One of my favorite things about Squidoo is the ability to give a percentage of whatever income I generate to worthy causes.
I am moderating the pages, and as long as the humanitarian charity you are donating 50% to is mentioned on the page/lens, stating that you are donating 50%, it will quickly be approved.
You can make a new lens, or change the settings on an existing lens, so that 50 - 100% of the revenue from the Squidoo page goes to a humanitarian charity of your choice, and add the "donation" module to your lens as well.
The picture here is actually from an earlier earthquake in Haiti, when a school collapsed.
Pray for the people of Haiti, and other places where there are experiencing natural disasters, and open your hearts to help in any way that you can.

These Squidoo Lenses Donate to Humanitarian Organizations
Contact me, I'll add lenses that meet the guidelines given in the intro and below
Thank you all for the lenses you are adding on behalf of people in need around the world. Please add your Squidoo pages here if at least 50% of the income they receive is set in your charity settings to benefit a humanitarian organization of your choice, and it would be extra nice if the "donations" module for the organization you choose could be added to the lens.
We've had quite a few spammers, please note that I am now moderating additions and your link will not be added.
Again, thanks so much for all the great lenses! Hoping to see this list grow!
Please contact me if your lens or any lens you visit below is no longer supporting a cause. You can reach me by clicking on my picture in the upper right, on the profile page to the left under my picture you'll find a "Contact" button.

- Hello Claudia, Beautiful lens. I created http://www.squidoo.com/homeschool-resources-haiti-earthquake over the weekend, and also created an Educator's Resource Pack which will be sold through my Publishers, Currclick. All proceeds from the sales (less their royalties) will be donated to Haitian Relief, of which I am affiliated to about a dozen or more. Have added this Plexo to my Lens as well. Thank you for creating awareness.

- Thanks for doing this. I added my El Salvador lens (switched the royalties from 100% A Day of Hope to 100% Hope for Haiti). There is also an option on the lens to donate to the Red Cross.

- This is a great idea for a way to help the earthquake victims in Haiti. I switched over the royalties on my "Consistent Life Ethic" lens and added a donation module. I also lensrolled this lens to it.
