BevsPaper Writes With the Rocket Moms

I had the privilege of being a part of the RocketMoms Sessions while it was a group here on Squidoo. One of our assignments at the end of each session was to write a lensography lens and I thought this would be a wonderful way to showcase the lenses that I have written during the sessions that I participated.

Rocket Moms was a wonderful group of women who encouraged and supported each other in the lensmaking process. I have learned so much from these incredible women and have come to think of many of them as true friends.

Each week, on Monday, we would receive a note from Bonnie (Head RocketMom known as bdkz) telling us what the assignment for the week would be. A very good definition of what she was looking for in the lenses was given with a few examples. I have to say some of these lenses challenged my creativity. Some introduced me to modules that I might not have considered using. All of them were fun to write!

On Fridays, we RocketMoms, would have a choice to do an Advanced Project. A sort of "extra credit", if you will, that can be counted toward our graduation from the Session.

So now, without further ado, I give you the lenses I created as a Session Two Rocket Mom. Along with Session 3, Session 4, Session 5, and Session 7.

During this session I was the leader of a group of women who are all grandmothers, Grandma Club. Here is the lens that I created to showcase the group's lenses about being a grandmother. As the lensmasters complete more, I will update the lens: RocketMoms Grandma Club.

Some Outstanding RocketMoms

There were around 140 women in Session 2 of RocketMoms and all of them are awesome ladies. I picked these 5 women because not only did the write some pretty fantastic lenses but they visited just about everyone's creations and left comments for them. That is the true spirit of community.

RocketMoms Session 2

The Last Week

I was a little saddened that the weeks flew by so quickly. The 8th Assignment was to write this lensography.

Being a part of RocketMoms was a truly rewarding experience. As I said in my intro, I had the pleasure to meet so many incredible women both from Session 1 and Session 2. The encouragement, support, and advice flowed freely from a diverse group of women from all over the globe.

Session Three began in August 2009 and I looked forward to being a part of that session, too. It was fun to meet the new RocketMoms and help them in the same way I was helped this time around.

RocketMoms Session 3

August 17, 2009 opened Session 3 of RocketMoms. We had many new faces in this session with a variety of experience levels. Graduates of Sessions 1 and 2 returned with the nominees joining our ranks. It was an awesome session with new ideas for creating lenses.

A new feature with Session 3 was the creation of the "Big Sister" program. I was proud to be a Big Sister along with Paula, Holley, Allison, and Bonnie. We worked together with our Little Sisters to help them with questions they had about creating lenses, monetizing lenses, and much more.

I was unable to complete the 8 lenses required to graduate from Session 3 of the RocketMoms due to time constraints. Here are the lenses that I was able to create for the Session.

Oh, Kate that touched my heart! Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. You are right my friend, the Universe gave you a most precious gift.

I want to come back and look at all of your RM lenses but thought you'd enjoy a Family Bible story.

I've been cleaning out my house and barn and one day recently, came across my grandmother's Bible that she had as a child. She wrote notes all through it, which makes it even more special.

Nearby this was my Mother's childhood Bible. I considered this a gift from the Universe, and I thought immediately of you.

Now both of these Bibles are in a very special place!!
