I want to try some "top ten" topics. Is there a form to plug it into or just use the regular Squidoo modules?
  • ChapelHillFiddler Oct 22, 2009 @ 4:47 pm | delete
I have never even considered using a top ten format until now, thanks for the inspiration! And thanks for coming by to visit and encourage me. Best to you and yours... Jane

Great lens - I have featured it on my site and blog http://www.squidoo.com/squidoo-top-10 . Please check it out, share and rate!

I'm not sure what you mean by top 10 format? can you tell me

    This is a great lens!

I signed up with all posters, but never did figure out exactly how to get things in to my lenses...the code didn't seem to work....would I just save the picture, put it in and then code in the link to that poster? I sure have a lot of lenses on different subjects that I could find posters to match up!

I could have sworn that I turned in my assignment a week ago, but I guess it didn't go through. These tips and tricks really helped and I think that the lens turned out well.

Great ideas, I'm new, but am finding out that this can become an addiction!
  • puzzlemaker Jul 2, 2009 @ 9:48 am | delete
I wish I had time to read every single one of the RocketMoms lenses! So many lenses...so little time.
  • CherylK Jul 1, 2009 @ 12:36 am | delete
Well, I've finally finished my third Rocket Moms lens. I'm way behind on the extra credit lenses. Can I still work those in before the eight weeks is over?
  • LauraSchofield Jun 27, 2009 @ 9:40 pm | delete
I'm making good use of my Photoshop Elements program for my lenses now. I'm self-taught and my images can definitely use some improvement, but they're getting there.

I highly recommend that anyone who's serious about publishing online should pick up a copy of Elements (much cheaper than the full-blown version) and take the time to learn it.
  • Sojourn Jun 27, 2009 @ 5:48 pm | delete
Such neat examples. Great lenses and all give one great ideas for how to make their own lens unique and interesting. I may have to go back and expand on mine! :)

I'm done! I'm done! This one was hard because I couldn't think of anything that interested me at the moment to write a top ten about. I have to be in the mood to write about something.

I was researching cars last week for purchase and I got side tracked on Natural Gas Vehicles...I couldn't believe how great they were. So that's what I decided I would do this week. Top Ten Reasons to Buy a CNG Vehicle. I hope you like it.

  • sandyspider Jun 25, 2009 @ 4:53 pm | delete
This is my second top 10 list. Stop me, I'm a Squidoo addict. Since this is another favorite of mine I had to write about it. http://www.squidoo.com/rocketmomstop10
  • susannaduffy Jun 25, 2009 @ 6:51 am | delete
I certainly enjoyed making my top 10 list, the hardest part was choosing from all the ideas that sprang to mind at the thought of a 'top 10'
  • monarch13 Jun 24, 2009 @ 9:53 pm | delete
Thanks for the tips and tricks!
  • CherylK Jun 24, 2009 @ 9:24 pm | delete
Some really great ideas, here. I have definitely decided on my Top 10 list do but can't do anything until Saturday. Am leaving at 7 am in the morning and won't be home until about midnight. Then same thing on Friday. It's art fair season and we're schlepping our smoothies.
  • vbright105 Jun 24, 2009 @ 1:21 am | delete
This is actually going to be my second top ten. I did one for the first Rocket Moms Group.,. Decisions, decisions...

This is such a helpful lens Alison and thank you for featuring my MASH lens! Sometimes it is so hard to choose a topic and it is lenses like these that unblock the Writers' Block! For that I think it deserves an Angel Blessing!
  • KarateKatGraphics Jun 22, 2009 @ 11:58 pm | delete
I like the built-in structure of the top 10 format. Nice tips and examples here!
  • mukunda22 Jun 22, 2009 @ 11:25 pm | delete

This was really a lot of fun to create.
  • LoKackl Jun 22, 2009 @ 5:42 pm | delete
My top 10 lens was fun, though a bit "vanilla." I spent too much time trying to do some things I don't know how to do. After a break I'll catch up with someone who can help. Then, maybe I can improve it.
  • mysticmama Jun 22, 2009 @ 5:35 pm | delete
    Lovely lens Alison :-)
  • CCGAL Jun 22, 2009 @ 5:05 pm | delete
Wow, I wish I'd taken the time to come read this lens before I started building mine. I learned so much from it ... oh, well, I guess that's why we have the EDIT button.

    Nice job!
  • badmsm Jun 22, 2009 @ 2:44 pm | delete

Thanks for highlighting my Top 10 Travel Accessories lens! I would add that once I chose a topic that was near and dear to my heart, (travel) I found this lens one of the easiest to put together. Of course, now I need to find another Top 10!
  • Treasures-By-Brenda Jun 22, 2009 @ 8:58 am | delete
Great idea for a lens, Alison. I always struggle with the 'Top 10' aspect. Who designates the list? Does it have to be official? Of course, I say NO. Right now, I'm working on an angle to stretch the Top 10 lens to meet both my requirement for niche lenses with earning potential and this assignment's requirements.
  • a_willow Jun 20, 2009 @ 12:32 am | delete
Cool tips! :) Gonna use them since I haven't made any TOP 10 lens yet! Blessed by an Angel!
  • Jimmie Jun 19, 2009 @ 1:43 am | delete
Thanks for featuring my top ten lens here, Mouse! :-)
A good how-to lens for making a top ten. Another good formula is top ten (or five or however many) blogs about a certain topic. Add several RSS feeds and it's an easy lens.
