If this is your first time visiting a squidoo page, let me tell you a little bit about Squidoo!
Squidoo allows you to create a "lens" about any topic you like. Once you sign up at squidoo.com, you will be referred to as a "lensmaster".
Lensmasters create lenses about topics they have a passion for. Bands and music are a popular choice for lens topics!

I explain each of these modules below and how to use them to feature your favorite band and their music!

The Wikipedia Module is the perfect module for adding some band history!

Feature your bands history with the Wikipedia module

Almost every band has a wikipedia page devoted to them.
First add the Wikipedia module to your lens. You can find this module in the A-Z section under "W". Just add one of these modules! I like to arrange the module so it is near the top of my band page.
Now open up Wikipedia in a new window and type your bands name in the searh box, and hit enter. Then take note of in the address bar how they spell out the band name. (I just copy this info and paste it into the wikipedia module!)
After you have this info, go back to the Wiki module and paste it into the text box and then click on "Check this article". You will see the info it brings up. Also put a check in the box to include the main image from the page. *Note* I find alot of wiki's do not have images. Thats a bummer!
Now just click on save and check out your new Wiki Module! Don't forget to fill the title with some good keywords!

Feature your favorite band using the YouTube module!

Play your favorite bands videos on your squidoo page!

Your favorite band is likely to have several videos on Youtube.com. With the YouTube video module, you can showcase those videos right on your lens!
First of all, add several Youtube modules to your lens. The number of modules to use really depends on how big of a page you are making! I tend to go with at least 3 YouTube modules!
Editing the Youtube module
When you edit the Youtube module, you have several options available.
Best way to utilize the module is to have Youtube.com open in another window and have the videos you want to have on your lens already found.
Copy and paste the address to the first video and go back to your lens and then select the option "Let Me Pick", this will give you an area to paste the address of the youtube video.
Now click "Save" and you will see the Video, a Title, Description, Rating, and other information for the video! I like to copy the "Title" and the "Description" and then click "Edit" again. Now paste the title and description into the "Give your module a description" area. Then add the title to the "Give your module a title" area. In the "Give your module a subtitle" area, type out a one sentence description of the video. Click on the "Display Options" and un-check the spot for "Description" and "Title" if you like. Now click "Save" and you will have a nice looking Video display with some great keywords!
