My name is Rohan Skea and I love motor racing. I have been a professional race car driver and founded a racing team, racing is in my blood.

The Skea Racing Team I founded had factories in Cambridge, Charlotte and was headquartered in Perth (Australia). It was also the first Australian team to be invited to compete at the American Le Mans series, somthing to this day I am still very proud of.

I have built this page to celebrate motor racing.

About Rohan Skea

Whilst having spent some time in business doing mergers & acquisitions, Government privatisation projects, wine making and television production my real passion lies in sport, especially motor racing.

The sporting achievements I am most proud of include the following:

Former State and National Surf Life Saving champion.
Former professional race driver
Founder and owner of Skea Racing International, headquartered in Perth and with race factories based in Cambridge ( UK) and Charlotte ( North Carolina)
First Australian motorsport team to compete in an entire international professional motorsport series - American Le Mans Series (competes in USA, Canada, Germany, UK, France, Belgium)
First Australian owned/managed motorsport team to be invited to compete at the Le Mans 24 Hour Race; finished the race on debut; second place GT Class on debut
Third place overall in American Le Mans Series 2000
39th place overall, Daytona 24 Hour (Florida, USA) - 2000
2nd place Sebring 12 Hr, GT Class (Florida, USA) - 2000
2nd place Le Mans 24 Hour, GT Class (France) - 2000
2nd place Nurburgring 1000 kl Grand Prix, G T Class (Germany) - 2000

I am also a competitor in professional game fishing tournaments.

I believe participation in sports is so important from a young age, keeping young bodies healthy through to middle and even old age. I recently noticed an 88 year old running the City to Surf in Sydney. I hope I can participate in events like that at 88 years old, or even open water swims. As tehy say healthy body, healthy mind.
