Roku have been pretty successful with their previous versions of streaming media players in the past, so it comes as no surprise that they have once again brought out another streaming 1080p player. With more features than previous versions that have come before it all you need to ask yourself is have they done enough?

General Overview
The roku 2 xs streaming player is looking like the streaming player to own this christmas!
Not only can it display streaming content in 1080p direct to your television, it enables you to enjoy up to 300 channels from movies,sports,comedy,documentary and music. But, and this is a really cool feature, you get a full version of Angry Birds! How cool is that.
While we are on the subject of games, by the way the roku 2 xs will be able to play more games than just angry birds. The remote control that you get with this multimedia streamer is motion sensitive, a bit like the nintendo wii remote! So you can play games on their by just flicking your wrist.
The actual roku box is tiny! it is about the size of a cup coaster. So if you do not have a lot of space underneath your TV or Unit then this is the player for you, it is so small you should be able to fit it in anywhere. There is also built in wireless so you do not need lots of messy cables trailing around your home.
It is also super simple to set up, all you need to do is plug it in the wall socket, then connect it to your TV and then connect it to your wireless network and hey presto! done.
The roku 2 xs also lets you use Amazon prime video and Amazon video rentals, plus Hulu, and Pandora radio plus lots more.
There are a few downsides that people have pointed out, one of the main ones being that it does not power off, it is always on! Although to be honest this little box does not hardly use any power so i do not see that as a big problem, plus because it is always on it is always ready to receive those all important up-dates.
