I Love my Roku. I ordered a Netflix subscription thru Trialpay and received a $20 discount on my Roku plus plus an additional 1 free month of Hulu Plus. I have used Roku virtually every night since I purchased it. My wife and I always had a hard time finding something to watch on TV, not anymore. After 2 and a half men reruns we power on the Roku and watch a streaming netflix on demand. One night we even watched an Amazon Video on Demand.
The other night my wife and I went on Flickster to watch Movies and DVD Trailers. this helped us decide not to go to the Movies that night and also we found a bunch of DVDs to add to our Netflix list.

Roku, Netflix and Snow Days
The state of Missouri is under a winter storm warning. All the roads are topped by an inch of Ice with snow on top. The 70 Freeway is closed for a good Majority of the State of MO. Schools are closed, Federal, State and city buidings are closed. No way do I want to go to the video store and load up with DVDs. Who knows if they are even open. Wow I have Roku and Netflix. We just poped some popcorn and had a Saturday Night Live Marathon (All Free Streaming from Netflix). We Love Roku and Netflix.

In the last year or so on a 5 Mile strectch of Lindbergh Blvd in Florissant MO 3 Video Stores have gone out of Businees. These included 2 units of the Blockbuster chain and a Hollywood video. The video rental model has evolved again and the Big Box video retailer is certainly in a contraction phase.
Redbox is everywhere. The DVD vending machine where you can rent DVDs for $1 a night or $1,50 for Blu Ray. Even blockbuster has its own version of the DVD vending machine. Netflix has AT&T, Charter, Dish network , and Directv all offer Video on Demand for a small fee. But you need to be a subscriber of there TV programming to get VOD from these providers. But its Amazon VOD that anyone with a credit card and internet connection that will really hurt the big box video store.
Its 8pm on a rainy evening, do you drive to the video store and hope your video is available or do you go to Amazon VOD and rent one now
