What They Might Not Tell You about Rolex Lady's Watch
Ladies Rolex watches are the smallest automatic movement made. There are a very high number of tiny parts in an extremely small space. It is very difficult for the watchmaker to work on this luxury watch. For that reason the presidential style does not have the day of the week on the lady's version, unlike the men's rolex Presidential. Many women do not use the date, they don't set it, and never look at it. Doesn't it make more sense to buy the nondate version? It is a less complicated watch, which is good. It seems to require less maintenance, and it is a little thinner. The lady rolex watch makes a great gift. It is hard to find better gifts than a lady's Rolex. All the other watches are battery operated, or are manual windup. You can make your lady's watch a Designer Rolex watches by customizing the diamond dial, or adding diamonds to the bezel, case, and band. Adding diamonds will void the Rolex warranty, however, so you won't be able to send the watch to the Rolex factory for repair. There are independent watchmakers who will work on the perpetual anyway.

Rolex - Looks Good!!
There has been some controversy, and I think it is rather simple to keep your Rolex and other luxury watches like new. Basic soap and water has been used by me for over 15 years on all my Rolex watches. I will say that using a dishwashing detergent is not advised as people have stated that the grease cutting properties will dry out the gaskets prematurely. You can wash your bracelet often and not worry about it if you use a mild hand soap and your fingers to clean your watch. If you use a soap with lotion and that doesn't dry out your hands then your watch andbracelet will be fine as well. I rinse my Rolex on a weekly basis and have never had any issues of build up on them. Make certain that the crowm is closed snug and can't come loose. If you notice any moisture or condensation than bring the watch in for inspection. This is just a suggestion and is not the only way to clean your Rolex or other luxury watch. Other people might use a gentle brush, but this has never been necessary for me. Rolex - How many in your collection?

Submariner Tradition by Rolex
The The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner is a line of watches manufactured by Rolex, intended for diving with a reputation for being water proof. Built from the drawing board as a water proof watch, The Submariner was first to market and tested in high-pressure underwater environments.The watch has been part of expeditions, both at sea (such as the Moana expedition) and overland in the Antarctic (where it withstood temperatures of 45 degrees Celsius below zero). Even thousand consecutive dives didn't stop one from working during The Moana sea expedition. Thor Heyerdal used a Submariner during his 1970 journey. The Rolex Submariner has appeared in nine James Bond movies.
The original Submariner was certified for depths of 330 feet however over the next ten years the watch was redesigned, improved and had better works. Rolex honored The Submariner in 2003 for it's 50th anniversary by creating a new model. It has a green bezel and large dial. Now the watch is certified water proof to 1000 feet. Three dots on the crown signifies that the watch has a three gasket protection system which screws down tightly onto the case tube and against the Oyster case providing another layer of protection.{The case itself is made from a solid block of 904L stainless steel, gold, or platinum. 904L steel is a corrosion-resistant stainless steel alloy. Rolex makes its gold in its own foundry where it can create new alloys and control the quality of the gold. The Submariner utilizes a unidirectional bezel that enables the diver to calculate immersion time. The bezel is one directional to make sure you can never increase your underwater time by accident. The rotor that turns as you make movements is called Perpetual, and the energy generated is stored in the mainspring which can allow the watch to continue to function with no movement for up to two or three days. Every watch has a movement that has been certified by the COSc as a Swiss chronometer. The Rolex calendar advances itself very simply each midnight. In 1971 Rolex made a stronger Submariner with a thicker case and crystal, they call it The Sea Dweller. To this watch Rolex built in a helium escape valve for use in saturation diving. These watches are rated for dives as deep as 4000 feet.

Not Rolex watch but the name itself is valued today at $3.56 billion by the famed branding consultants Interbrand.Every year Interbrand puts a value on the brands of companies and their products; the winners can best be described as "the usual suspects". Coca Cola comes top with a brand value of $76 billion, closely followed by Microsoft Windows at $70.2 billion.
Rolex comes in at number 55 on the list, not as bad as that may seem, they are the only watch company on the list and the only other Swiss company apart from Nestle to even appear on the list.
Even more amazing is the fact that the value of the Rolex brand has increased by 47%, in the last 12 months (whilst Coca Cola, for example, has lost 13% of its value).

1.Rolex has never manufactured a watch with a see-through case. If you see a glass-back case on a watch, move on. You're not looking at a Rolex.
2.Rolex has never fabricated a case or a band with even the smallest amount of rubber. You know it's a fake if you feel rubber.
3.Skeleton dials display the moving parts of a timepiece. Rolex has never made a skeleton dial.
4.Oyster Perpetual Rolex watches always have a screwed-back case - never a pop-up.
5.Rolex Oysters are fabricated of stainless steel, gold or platinum. Chrome or chrome-plate is never used.
6.Only men's full-size Rolex watches have day and date features.
7.The case of a Rolex President is platinum, 18-karat yellow or white gold - never stainless steel or two-tone stainless and gold.
8.Rolex watches are not gold-plated - ever. When it comes to gold, a Rolex is either 14 or 18-karat gold.
9.Surprise, surprise. Rolex does indeed, make a quartz movement watch -- the perpetual Oyster. But, be careful before you buy. Quartz movement Rolexes comprise fewer than 10% of all Perpetual Oysters. The other 90% are conventional automatic Rolex movements.
10.Rolex is a Swiss company that has in years past manufactured watches in various other countries including the U.S, Mexico, Italy and Venezuela - but never China. A "Chinese-made Rolex" is a genuine fake.
