- Jagger has an unmistakable voice and stage presence.
But Richards is a great and distinctive guitarist. Note - I didn't say best. There are plenty of guitarists who can play faster and better. Listen to "Happy" or "Brown Sugar" to hear Richards genius.
Let's face it. The Stones, without either one of them wouldn't have been the Stones.

- Brian Jones -- because he was one of the founders of the Stones. Jones brought in Jagger, who brought in Richards. Jones was key to the Rolling Stones not being just another British band. Listen to Paint It Black. It's one of the best examples of Brian Jones influence.

- Bill Wyman, their incredible bassist. Rhythm is the core of the Rolling Stones sound and the bass plays a huge part. I don't get why everyone overlooks him.

- No, no, no... You are missing the point. The BAND is the greatness of the Rolling Stones. You wouldn't try to figure out whether the Ying was greater than the Yang or the oil better than the vinegar in the salad dressing. It's all of them together. That's why even though they enjoy the freedom of working apart, they return to work together

Looking for Rolling Stones Cover T-Shirts?
I discovered a lot of people were coming to this web page looking for Rolling Stones COVERS t-shirts, which are obviously not the same thing as a Rolling Stone t-shirt. Rather than disappoint people, I tried to add a section on t-shirts with pictures of the Rolling Stones magazine covers on them. I searched (a lot) and found a lot of references to the fact that Macy's had decided to produce these a few years back. But I couldn't find them any place on Macy.com, so I sent them an email. Here is their response:
Unfortunately, macys.com is unable to offer all store merchandise online.
Merchandise that is made available online at macys.com is solely determined by
the current demands of the market and represents a variety of our store's best
selling and most popular items. Although macys.com does not carry every item
available in our physical stores, most stores will carry everything that is
offered online. However, all store locations will not carry exactly the same

macys.com may offer occasional exclusives.
Well thanks for nothing guys. I mean is this one of the all-time unhelpful responses. Geez.... people are searching for these shirts, emailing you about them and you can't actually tell them how to buy one?
So.... I'm afraid the only place I know that seems to consistenly have at least a few Rolling Stones Cover t-shirts is Ebay. Here is the current selection. If you don't see anything you like, come back again, as the list is automatically updated.
Oh, and if YOU end up finding a better way to shop for a shirt with a Rolling Stones magazine cover image on it, please let me know!! You can put it in the section on Who is the Greatest Talent in the Rolling Stones. Thanks.
WAIT -- I found SOME. Here are a few (not a complete selection) Rolling Stones magazine cover t-shirts for women including the 1983 Rolling Stone magazine cover with Michael Jackson and Rolling Stones magazine cover t-shirts for men (also includes the the 1983 Rolling Stone magazine cover with Michael Jackson t-shirt).. I'm pretty sure these are not official Rolling Stones magazine shirts, but... they are the best I have found so far.
