Escape Reality with Romance Books

Hawaii is one of the favorite locations for a destination wedding. Kauai is one of the most beautiful islands in the world to have a beach wedding.

This shot was taken at the Princeville Beach resort in Kauai Hawaii. Local flower pedals were used to decorate the walkway as well as hang in the trees.

The sun set over Hanalei Bay in back of the wedding party and the beach below made for some awesome sunset wedding pictures.

I have loved reading since I was small. I learned to read when I was three years old when my older brother was learning to read in school. I was in first grade when I read my very first novel and from then on, I was hooked. I was about eleven when I read my first romance novel and I thought that it was the most fantastic thing ever written.

When I was in my late teens and most of my friends were dating, I could most often be found in my bedroom reading the many romance stories that I had checked out of the library. My idea of true love was what I had read in books, and although I looked at my romantic life through rose colored glasses, I knew that one day, Prince Charming was going to come and sweep me off my feet.

I did eventually fall in love, and although it was not the storybook romance that I had dreamed of, he certainly was Mr. Right for me. We got married and started a family and for the first time in my life, I did not have time to read the romance novels that had, at one time, been such a big part of my life.

When we had been married for a few years, I felt kind of sad, as the romance started to fade and my life became so routine and ordinary. It was at this point that I started reading romance novels again. It gave me back my fantasy life and it has made me be more romantic towards my husband. A lot of it has to do with the simple fact that these books once again gave me a small escape from the real world.

It has been many years since I first started to read at three years old, but reading is still my passion and romance novels are what I like best.

The one thing that stands strong in our ever changing technological world, is books. Books are something that has been around since the beginning of time and it is the one thing that will never be outdated or go out of style.

The great thing about books is that they appeal to absolutely everyone. Some people prefer non-fiction, such as textbooks and biographies and some people prefer fiction, such as fantasy and romance novels. The latter of the two have such a vast number of readers, as there are so many different types of romance novels ready to be enjoyed.

One of the greatest varieties is the historical romances. The reader can be taken back to a time when the world was a lot simpler and when it seemed like love was so real. It is hard for twenty-first century minds to comprehend what the world was like centuries ago, and yet, when people engross themselves in these novels, they are taken back in time.

Some people prefer modern day romance novels, as it is a way for them to escape from the mundane reality of their lives, to a place where love is perfect and pure. Though it may be a fantasy world, the reader is taken to a place, if only for a short time, where they can experience what perfect love would be like.
