How to Prepare the Best Romantic Dinner

Themed dinner is often associated with either a wedding rehearsal dinner or with kids' Birthday party. If you know what your partner likes, it can also be a great romantic dinner idea.

For example, if your loved one is Russian, or is fascinated with Russian culture, you may prepare a Russian meal (thankfully, Internet is bloated with millions of ethnic recipes), or if you can't cook, try to find a Russian or Eastern European store in your area and order something.

Download Russian music, or buy a Russian music CD if you have Russian stores nearby. If you not a procrastinator who does everything the last minute, you may order everything online (Russian food, souvenirs, Russian teas, and even what Americans for some reason call "babushkas").

Whether you are preparing a Russian or a Vietnamese romantic dinner, you will still need some candles, proper clothing (No, I don't mean "babushka" and a Russian hat) and nice dinnerware.

Your romantic dinner doesn't have to be culture-themed. If your partner loves ocean, you may want to get some napkins or place mats with pictures of fishes or dolphins on them; get a CD with ocean sounds, or songs about ocean; prepare a seafood dinner (if he/she loves seafood, of course) and so on.

Another idea for romantic dinner is to re-create his/her favorite romantic movie scene if he/she has one. For example, if she loves the "Titanic" movie, take her to a boat ride, bring music along (Titanic soundtracks) and some easy-to-eat food. No candles or alcohol though.

To make your romantic dinner extra special, get your partner a small gift or a souvenir (your theme-related) to help him/her remember your efforts to create one heck of a romantic dinner.
