Romantic Movies By Hallmark for Valentine's Day 2012

A Valentine's Date aired on February 4, 2011. It stars Elisa Donovan, Brad Rowe, Fred Willard, Tom Skerritt, Catherine Hicks and John Schneider and tells the story of a working mother named Laura who really just wants more time with her daughter. When the father files for joint custody of his daughter, Laura takes Kelsey to Texas where she has to learn to accept the way of living and the father that she previously parted company with.

A Valentine's Date is NOT available on DVD.

Smooch had its World Premiere on Feburary 5, 2011. It stars Kellie Martin, Kiernan Shipka, and Simon Kassianides and tells the story of Percy, a prince, who has a fiancé that he does not love. He is taken in by a young girl named Zoe when he gets amnesia and she believes that he is a frog that has been turned into a prince. Percy winds up being Zoe's nanny, growing a friendship and eventually a love when he falls in for her mother, "discovering that love is the magic ingredient needed to make any relationship special."

Accidentally in Love had its World Premiere on February 12. It stars Beverly 90201's Jennie Garth as well as Ethan Erickson, Fred Willard and Marilu Henner. It tells the story of an actor named Eddie who is unhappy because he wants to be MORE than rabbit named Mulligan on a children's television show. He finds out that everything change in a second when he has a car accident with a single mom named Annie. A friendship develops and he tries to help Taylor, Annie's almost blind daughter, have an operation, which will restore her eyesight.

Hallmark Hall of Fame premiered The Lost Valentine, starring Betty White on January 30, 2011. The movie, if visitor comments to my page dedicated to The Lost Valentine are any indication, was a huge success. I watched it and I loved it. My husband and 17-year old son passed by...and were hooked, too.

The story is of an elderly woman (Betty White) who's husband was declared missing in action during the war and of a young lady (Jennifer Love Hewitt) who tries to help discover what happened to her husband. Of course, along the way, the young woman falls in love, too.

Love Comes Softly is a family oriented love story set in a different time. Yes, life was tough but romance still existed along with love and faith and, as Hallmark says, it may have been stronger then than it is now. I haven't had the opportunity to see The Good Witch but Amazon customer reviews and buzz about this movie, which has spawned a couple of additional movies, definitely has me wishing I had seen it. It stars Catherine Bell and Chris Potter and the story is of a bewitching woman named Cassie who moves into a small town and, of course, a mysterious mansion. She opens a shop that sells candles, lotions, etc. and soon meets and entrances the children of the police chief. The children think that she is a good witch but not everyone does and it takes some magic for her to become a real part of the town.

Come Dance at My Wedding stars John Schneider, Roma Downey and Brooke Nevin. It's a 2009 movie that was released on DVD in 2010 and tells the story of a young lady who learns about life's decisions when she discovers that her absent father's name is on the deed to the dance studio she wishes to sell. She is forced to meet her father who doesn't want the dance studio to be sold and to deal with her fiancé who resents the sudden appearance and interference of the father.
