Visiting Italy is always a dream trip. All those visiting this country for the first time should make sure to visit the top three cities before heading home. And every visit documents with tons of pictures, souvenirs, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Rome
The Eternal City
Perhaps you've noticed? It goes without saying that Rome has a noticeably outstanding past. In Rome you will catch the Vatican, Coliseum, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Church of Saint Agnese, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and a man name Allassandro. Undeniably, Rome is filled with traditionally vital attractions. It seems you can't go about with your Italy vacations without bumping into something an Emperor created, captured or shattered. For those who are willing to risk possible wrath, there are also the extra Da Vinci Code tours, which bring you to the areas based in the book.Rome is a city you should see at least once in your lifetime. No account may perhaps ever do it justice.

Venice
The Floating City
I refer to Venice as the floating city even though it is obviously sinking. If you have witnessed Venice in shows or televisions shows, the depictions are true. Piazza San Marco appears exactly similar, birds and altogether. The Grande Canal is, well, an enormous channel with extraordinary homes lining it as well as boats putting up down this water way. Constructed on mudflats in a lagoon, the city does not in fact include much space for development. It would seem contained in time. When you have finished all the other tourist attractions, it will be time to get serious about Venice. The best way to do this is stand in front of your inn or hostel, decide which route most tourist attractions lie and start walking in the opposite path. Though you could feel like you are driving the wrong way on top of a freeway for a few minutes, you will eventually begin getting into realistic Venice. An altogether different section of Venice will show. Most Italy tours catch little cafes with locals happy to talk to you and give you non-visitor deals. Truly, the Venetians will have a tendency to view you in high respect since you are a visitor who is bypassing their town. This, of course, will logically lead to a whirl of introductions. Next thing you know, you will be complaining about Italian politicians and how things used to be in the past.
While Rome and Venice are excellent tour getaways, you can't in fact go wrong in Italy. For the adventurous, set your itinerary with the old map on a fence and dart practice.

Florence
The City of Renaissance
Florence is also know as the City of Renaissance and is the gateway to Tuscany. It has gained popularity over the past few decades being a cultural city rich Renaissance art. This has been such a culture-rich city since the Renaissance when Florence families such as the Medicis sponsored artists like Michelangelo and others. The Duomo or Santa Maria Del Fiore is the centerpiece of Florence with its with its magnificent dome and baptistery. The Duomo is the architectural jewel in Florence's crown. The next must-see site after the Duomo is the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge), the only survivor of World War II. This bridge is lined with interesting shops help up by stilts. Don't forget to stop by the Uffizi Gallery, one of the finest art museums in the world. Michelangelo's David will also be waiting for you at the Academia.
It does not matter if it's your first (or second or third) Italy travel. You are sure to be mesmerized by what Italy has to offer,

- Good lens.... of course it's so difficult to choose something to present, with such so historical cities.... I was born in Rome and I've lived there for almost 38 years, and still there are places I don't know! Have you checked my quiz about secret places in Rome? :)

- While most tips about booking First Class tickets point you to book early and stay flexible with dates, booking cheap flight deals has many other tricks as well. From travel sites to bucket shops, options are in plenty.

- This reminds me from my last trip in Italy, we went by car and crossed the country, from Mont Cenis and then Milano to Napoli to Palermo to Lipari and then back from Messina to Roma to Pisa, and so on. What a fantabulous travel!

- Very nice lens ... I would never dream of going to Italy without visiting Rome. We're going next year and that will be our first and last stop. Venice and Florence are wonderful too, though I'd be happy anywhere in Italy.
