- After graduating from architecture I spent an exceptional month there. The different views glimpsed from each street before you walk down them was supurb and the skilled artists definately left their stamp on the city.

- I spent a few months painting in Florence in my youth and fell in love with Italy. I visited Rome briefly, and it is so amazing. I can imagine living there for ten years and still not have run out of things to do. I always wanted to live in Italy, but moving to France seemed like a more practical thing to do.

- This has been a most interesting and fascinating Lens...reading about the Colosseum and the Forum brought back memories of how life was a millenium ago. I recently read that Roman coins are still being unearthed along the network of Roman roads throughout europe, some 2,000 years after the fall of the Roman Empire. How Amazing!

You have certainly told a wonderful story of the enormity of the accomplishment of melding beauty with engineering. And you have certainly made us believe that "Rome is itself one enormous museum."
