Rome Total War Imperial Campaign Year by Year - Part 6

The last Gallic commander has 1,000 troops backing him up in Numantia. Caution is being used by calling in reinforcements before attacking.


Battle around Rome whittles down the huge armies surrounding the city.


Progress is made down the Grecian coast to capture Apollonia.

Campus Scythii is captured on the far eastern border, bringing the Julii empire to 43 regions.

A small break. The large army inside Campus Getae leaves, making for an easier assault of the city.


When the city of Numantia ran out of food, the three-star General "sallied forth" for battle. Now Numantia belongs to Julii. 45 regions down -- five to go!

Campus Getae becomes Region #46. But don't let your guard down when things are going smoothly. Brutii keeps on coming.


Corduba was the next logical target, but two large stacks guard the golden city. On my first play-through, the Carthagians never showed any strength on the European continent.

With stalemates developing in western Spain and the eastern front around Camp Getae, I went from siege to battle to conquer Rome.

I had 46 regions before, 47 regions after Rome's capture, and I am told I have three regions to go. I thought it was Rome plus 50 regions??!


The possibility of picking up an undefended Numidian city sends this army to Africa.

Scalabis in western Spain becomes Region 48.


The army from Apollonia "snuck" down to Thermon to capture Region 49.


Lepcis Magna on the coast of Africa becomes Region 50!
