Romero Britto Biography

Romero Britto was born in Recife, Brazil in 1963. He is an artist who combines influences from cubism with pop art and graffiti painting. This Brazilian Neo-pop artist is famous for his contemporary work. His style described as "exudes warmth, optimism, and love." by The New York Times.

Britto's style is very popular since the major corporates have been asking him to give his personal touch on their products. Britto has worked with many corporates such as Movado, Disney, Enrico Coveri, Pepsi, the United Nations, BMW and Royal Caribbean Cruises. Britto has one main art gallery in Miami, on South Beach on Lincoln Road.

~How britto begins his wonderful journey

Hyde Park Pyramid, London, England, 2007 in commemoration of the King Tutankhamen ExhibitionBritto moved to Miami to become an international artis in 1988. He was selected for Absolut Vodka's "Absolut Art" campaign togehter with Andy Warhol and Keith Haring in the following year. In 2010, Britto created an official poster for the 2010 world Cup. He also ilustrated several books published by Simon & Schuster and Rizzoli. Britto's art work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in over 100 countries. He has also created public art installations for the O2 Dome (Berlin), Hyde Park (London), John F. Kennedy Airport (New York), and Cirque du Soleil at Super Bowl XLI.
