Dichroic glass is an ultra-thin coating of metal oxides layered and fused to a glass base to form a crystal structure on the surface of the glass.
Dichroic glass, initially developed for the use in satellites and other space technologies, is now being used in forming exquisite and mesmerizing pieces of jewelry. At La Casa Mexicana we are proud to offer Romero Gurman Dichroic Jewelry.
Marco Romero and Debora Gurman are a husband and wife team. Interestingly, the duo met while performing research on glass. They decided to combine their desires and skills to master the art of dichroic glass to form the collection of Romero Gurman Jewelry.
With over 45 colors of dichroic coatings, many unique and wonderful pieces of jewelry are brought to life through the knowledge and skill of Debora and Marco. Their studio is located in Mexico City.

A Tour of Romero Gurman's Shop in Mexico City
On my husbands last visit to Mexico, he made a special trip to the Romero Gurman workshop in Mexico City. While there I instructed him to take LOTS of pictures! Here's what he came home with.
