London Olympics 2012

The greatest international sporting event is fast approaching. People from far and wide will be visiting London.

Already hotels, guest houses, motels and b&b's are reaching capacity. Demand is at a premium. One million visitors are expected in the city alone, of which nearly half are expected from overseas.

Where will they stay?

The opportunity exists for people with spare rooms, flats, houses, static mobile homes and canal boats to capitalise on this occasion. Whilst earning a useful income they will also be providing a valuable service.

For example- The London Evening Standard says the same!

London! Fulfil the Dream........

Think about this.....

Owners of two bedroom flats will be able to charge £2000 per week. Four bedroom houses up to £5000 per week. A single room for £500 per week. Obviously those closest to the venue will have an advantage, but considering London's extensive public transport network, there is nowhere within Greater London that will be not more than 40 minutes from any stadium.

If you live within 15 even 20 miles from the Olympic Park, then consider letting out a space. The London Transport network, incorporating fast and regular tubes, buses and trains will be operating at their best, with priority over the period.

And don't forget about the Paralympics!

London and Beyond.....

Compact but well proportioned.....

Most events will be held at the Olympic Park, but other areas of London are also hosting events. Such as Earls Court, Hyde Park, Lords Cricket Ground, Wembley and Wimbledon. All points - North, South, East, and West are embracing the games. So accommodation will be required throughout Greater London.

In the rest of England, Scotland, and Wales the games will be played out. Such as the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, and at Old Trafford, home of the world famous Manchester United Football Club, Hampden Park in Glasgow - the home of Scottish football, and St James' Park, home of Newcastle United FC.

The sailing competitions will be held in beautiful Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour in Dorset, the county renown as England's Jurassic coast, home of the famous Chesil Beach and where white sand meets a cobalt sea.

If you live nearby any of these places, then you can benefit by providing accommodation. Even if you think you may be too far away then the British Rail network will get your visitors to their destination. If your guests are hiring a car, then the UK's extensive motorway network can connect them from even further afield.

Remember that although your guests will be primarily coming to see the Olympics, they may also be a on a one off, once in a lifetime holiday, so provide them with information about local attractions and places of interest not only around their Olympic venues, but also around where they are living. The potential is endless. Recommend a local pub, restaurant or cafe, suggest local sights - all are simple yet considerate services.

Go the extra mile and give them a continental breakfast - an orange juice, croissant, jam and marmalade. Coffee to see them on their way. It will be appreciated.

For the enterprising homeowner or room provider it is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Not since 1948.......

.....has the Olympic Games been held in London. Thats 64 years ago, and the chances of them returning again over that many years are slim.

That's why this is a once in a lifetime chance - grasp it while you can.

Great Britain was the first to host the games back then after the Second World War. They rose to the challenge when no other nation could take it on. It demonstrated spirit, unity, courage and friendship. A world divided by war, became united by sport.

The Olympic dream! Five circles, interconnected, representing five continents, embracing peace and friendship. It's the reason why the torch continues to burn. The flame of hope!

That is the attraction of the Games. The Olympics is returning to London - don't miss out.

Excellent and timely subject matter. Always have loved the Olympics, the greatest sporting event in the world. Have not been to London for over thirty years but still remember how easy and simple it was to get around with their superb transport system all at low cost. This great topic has the honour of being my first blessing as a sporting Angel.
