I'll tell you how to make your own root beer sundae topping. A float you eat with a spoon...no straw needed (unless your ice cream melts).

Great for entertaining. A unique dessert. Kids and adults equally love this!

To serve...

Place two scoops of your favorite vanilla ice cream in a pretty sundae dish.

Drizzle a small amount of root beer topping over it (it's very rich).

Crush a sugar cone on the sundae.

Put a spoonful of whipped cream on it.

Then a cherry.

...and top with crushed root beer barrel candies.

I personally don't like crunchy, chewy stuff in my sundaes or my ice cream, so I would simply use ice cream and topping. Maybe a cherry.

The sundae is served in a baccarat Harcourt crystal goblet with an 18-karat gold spoon.
