Henry Picado is the Senior Designer at Aidan Mattox where he designs and creates the eveningwear, private label and prom collection. Designing for Aidan Mattox since November of 2006, Henry's designs have garnered a strong following among editors, celebrities including: Lauren Conrad, Stephanie Pratt, Anna Lynn McCord, Carrie Ann Inaba, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Soledad O'Brien, and Dayana Mendoza (Miss Universe 2008) Aidan Mattox can also be seen on a wide range of television shows, such as Gossip Girl, 90210, Dancing With the Stars, The Hills, The Today Show, to name a few.

Henry began designing and creating as a child in Costa Rica. As a teenager, he entered and won many art contests and after participating in fashion events, his desire to pursue a career in fashion was ignited. He emigrated from Costa Rica to New York City to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology. As a struggling young artist, F.I.T. recognized his talent and potential, and was very invested in nurturing and facilitating Henry's career in fashion. After leaving F.I.T., he began working at Bob Mackie as an assistant and after only six months was designing for three lines for the house of Mackie: B'Zar, Vesper and Bob Mackie Evening. It was there that Henry began creating one-of-a-kind wardrobes for special celebrity clients like: Joan Collins, Kristi Yamaguchi, Vanna White and Donna Da Varona. In 2002, Henry left Bob Mackie to be the senior designer at Demetrios where he designed evening wear, bridal, couture wedding dresses and prom.

Henry brings his overall creative vision to Aidan Mattox through his experience, passion for design and his desire to create beautiful dresses for women. He is very involved in every aspect that goes in to making each dress, starting with the color palette and the fabric to the way the dress looks, fits, and feels. The attention to detail is reflected in each collection Henry designs.

Spoken without a stitch of ego, the statement reveals a great deal about Carolina Herrera. Her entirely straightforward approach toward her business which Herrera founded 17 years ago after being prompted by fashion legend Diana Vreeland and her great friend, the late Count Rudi Crespi is perfectly balanced by her entirely impassioned feelings about her late parents; her husband Reinaldo Herrera; her four daughters, Mercedes, Ana Luisa, Carolina Adriana and Patricia; the family house in Venezuela, La Vega, built in 1590, and of course, her dogs, Gaston and Floyd.

Along with the newly launched 212 Men, the counterpart of 212 Carolina Herrera for women and the sixth of her fragrances eleven years, she oversees an international design firm that encompasses her signature fashion collection, a bridal collection, fragrances, color cosmetics and accessories. Sales extend around the world (U.S., South America, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East). I started doing this because I loved fashion, she says. But I had no idea what it would become. I can only say that I am very lucky my mother instilled such discipline and structure in my life!

Herrera, born in Caracas, Venezuela, descends from a long line of Venezuelan landowners and statesman. The designer is animated in her affection for her parents, Guillemmo and Maria Cristina Pacanins, admitting that she is spoiled as far as men's looks are concerned because her father was so dashing. She refers with love to her mother's cultivated aura. She was very strict, but not in a loud way, Herrera adds. There was a time and place for everything. I have carried that with me all my life.

Fashion designer Calvin Klein is particularly known for his jeans and and for his many provocative underwear advertisements. Klein graduated from New York's Fashion Institute of Technology in 1964 and formed his own company; he became a household name during the designer jeans boom of the late 1970s. His name-brand underwear was a hit in the 1980s, helped along by billboards and print ads featuring nearly-naked models in exotic poses. The ads made stars of several models, including Kate Moss, Mark Wahlberg and Christy Turlington. Klein later branched into other products, most notably the fragrance Obsession. In 2002 his company was acquired by the Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation.

The legendary duo of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are the stars of the fashion world. They are the most influential and powerful designers whose clients include some of the best dressed people in the world such as Madonna,Beckhams and Sophia Loren Domenico Dolce was born on September 13,1958

and Stefano Gabbana was born on November 14,1962; they first met in 1980 while working as assistants in an atelier in Milan. However, fortune and fame did not come immediately to the pair. Dolce and Gabbana held their first women's wear fashion show in 1986. Not long after, in 1989 they opened their first boutique in Japan.

Their style is a mix of traditional male and female clothing. They were known worldwide when Madonna wore one of the shirts of their collection in her movie "Truth or dare: In bed with Madonna". She loves the duo so much that in 1993 they designed 1500 costumes for her world tour of "Girlie show". Their designs are inspired from Mediterranean culture, colors and classic southern Italian cinema of the 40's and 50's era. Their collections are always romantic, sensual and voluptuous. Most of their designs are adapted from the feminist-era, before being modernized and glamorized. They are now fundamentally known for designing the clothes giving women a "fantastically sexy" look.
