How I Eliminated My Rosacia For Good

Rosacia is a skin condition that can make you feel like the whole world is against you at times. If you don't treat the condition, it can actually become worse. When you know what to do and how to control rosacia, the relief is not only physical, but also emotional.

Rosacia - The Inside Game

First, in order to begin dealing with your rosacia, you need to realize that it is more than an external skin condition. You need to realize that there is something going on internally within your body that is causing your face to experience flushing. This is key to treating your condition effectively.

WHAT'S GOING ON?

Let me to tell you a bit about how I came to heal myself of rosacia.

First, my rosacia was the sort that was so red, it looked like I'd been in the desert sun for days. When I got inflamed, my cheeks would glow brightly. This made it seem like I was constantly blushing. I hated it, to say the least.

Some days I'd skip school (in high school) or classes (when I was in college) and when I worked at a hotel front desk, sometimes I just didn't want to go into work. When I worked as a waiter, sometimes I just wanted to hide out in the bathroom. I would curse the mirror and pray for some sort of relief. I wished that I could have a job that didn't require so much people contact.

During college I met a friend at the Chinese Restaurant where I worked named Cui who had emigrated from China. He was a good guy (and a great cook!) but his dream was to move to Los Angeles and start an acupuncture practice. A decade after meeting him, he finally packed up and headed for LA where he went to school and finally opened his own practice.

Years later, when I finally was able to visit him in California, the conversation came around to asking him for a little advice about my rosacia. I thought he might have some herbal remedy since herbalism was a part of his schooling. Essentially he said that my "breath would become fresher and face would become clearer" if I would clean and cool my liver. He said that I had "too much heat" in my liver. I asked him what I should use, but he said it really depended on my personal situation and he couldn't just recommend something without diagnosing me fully. That was OK. I just let the conversation go at that. So, I kept this tip about "cooling and cleaning the liver" tucked away in my memory for later.

Battling Rosacia by Cleansing the Liver

Going Deeper

When I got back from California, I didn't think much of what Cui had suggested. I just went about my business as usual. However, after I experienced another rosacia flareup, I immediately began researching about "cleansing and cooling" my liver.

I decided to look online for liver cleansing methods. I found several, but I decided on the less expensive one.

My Liver Cleanse - Unexpected Results At First

After a week of detoxing my liver, I started noticing a difference, but not the difference that I was hoping for - my rosacia didn't stop. In fact, I had another flareup right away after starting my cleanse and detox. (I learned later that this came from the release of toxins from the liver cleanse.)

My temper was short and I would get easily frustrated over things that I could normally just ignore. I was having major releases of anger because my liver was being cleansed. I was learning firsthand why they say the liver is the seat of the emotions. What was happening? My liver was releasing a buildup of toxins and other particles that had become trapped and built up there over the years. This toxic release caused an emotional release as well as a major rosacia flareup.

I adjusted my behavior accordingly (my family was more than patient) and I continued with my cleanse, although I was a bit discouraged. I felt that Cui's theory of cleansing the liver wasn't going to work for my rosacia, but I continued the cleanse because I figured it'd be good for my body anyway.

Because I had thought the liver cleanse had failed to help my rosacia, I went online and found a natural rosacia skin care product to see if that would help. I saw a few recommendations through some forums as well as some testimonials and decided to give it a shot. The relief was near immediate. I had tried other products before without any luck, but this instantly soothed my skin and turned back the red. Unfortunately, it did not totally prevent flareups. It reduced the time that my flareups lasted. It also worked right away to keep the redness down, but it did not prevent flareups like I'd hoped. It prevented the severity, but the actual condition remained.

TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT...

After my first liver cleanse, I noticed that the severity of my flareups had been reduced. At first, I attributed this to the rosacia skin treatment that I was using, not the liver cleanse that I had done. I wasn't sure, so I decided to test it by stopping the rosacia skin care product.

As you probably know from experience, there are so many variables that it's really hard to be scientific when dealing with this condition. It's hard to know what is triggering and what actually worked to cause redness relief. It's like a guessing game, but thankfully I had narrowed it down.

After a few months, I came to the conclusion that my rosacia had been permanently diminished. The cause was either the rosacia skin care product or the liver cleanse. Either way, I was delighted! From that point on, I continued using the rosacia skin product along with regular liver cleanses.

It's been 4 years since that first liver cleanse (I've done several since then over the years) and I can safely say that the frequency of my rosacia flareups dropped from one flareup per week to about one flareup per year. My face gets pink on my cheeks during the winter, usually after being in the cold, so I'm not really sure if the pink is from rosacia or if that's just what extreme cold does to my fair-skinned face.

HERE IS WHAT I CAN SAY FOR SURE: My face has gone from frequent embarrassing red flareups to very regular clear skin. My cheeks are clear and my face is like it was before I started suffering from rosacia back in my teens. I'm no longer self-conscious about my face. Period. Another big proof for me that my rosacia is gone is the fact that I can enjoy coffee, beer, wine, or my favorite spicy dish without having a flareup. No more regrets!

After all these years, I haven't told Cui about all this. We don't really communicate much anymore. However, I hope to visit him again in CA someday and let him see my "new face" for himself. I'll thank him in person for pointing me in the right direction.

STEPS TO TAKE NOW

If you're looking to clear your face of rosacia, I can't say for certain that this will work for your individual situation, but if you're like I was, ready to try anything to make this condition go away, you MUST give this a try:

STEP #1 - Reduce your sodium intake.
A diet with too much sodium can overwork the liver as it seeks to filter the blood. This is one way to immediately begin healing your liver and purifying your blood.

STEP #2 - Begin taking L-Lysine.
You can find this amino acid supplement at Wal-Mart or any store with vitamins. It's cheap and comes in a basic pill form. It helps the skin heal faster and if you happen to get sores or lesions in your mouth from various other health conditions, this will help immediately.

STEP #3 - Do a liver cleanse. (please see my recommendation below)
Your liver is the filter for your blood. If your liver is full of toxins, your blood can't detox and those toxins need to be released elsewhere. This release of toxins (sometimes through the skin) triggers your rosacia flareups. Therefore, in order to truly address your rosacia condition, you MUST do an effective liver cleanse.

STEP #4 - Begin using an all-natural rosacia skin care product.
This will help to immediately alleviate the redness while your liver is cleansing. DO NOT use prescription drugs or steroids as this will only put more toxins into your blood and liver.

ZenMed is the only rosacia skin care product that I can recommend. It is all-natural and won't introduce toxins back into your blood. The results for me were immediate in soothing my flareups and helping reduce severity of redness.

NOTE: If you decide to cleanse your liver, please be aware that you will be releasing "energy" from your liver which may result in an emotional release depending on your personality. Of course, everyone is different and you may have emotional reactions other than anger or frustration like I had, but the point is, the liver is the emotional center and you should be prepared. Just remember, it's temporary... don't stop cleansing until you're done. Keep in mind the health benefit of cleansing your liver (rosacia relief) and this should help get you through any rough moments.

You should have just asked Cui to give you a list of some chinese herbs to detox your liver. It's nice that you shared your story. It gives me a little tiny bit of hope. I have tried everything it seems, but I haven't really looked at my liver seriously. Maybe I'll heed your advice. My hopes are low, though. I've pretty much given up. -Anne

Just wanted to say that YES zenmed does work! Definitely keeps the redness "in check." If flushing occurs, seems to keep it more pink than that red/purple that I had at times before. Started to deminish the blotchy areas after only about 2 days!!! Thanks Zedmed and this website for referring me. It has been 3 weeks now and I feel much better about EVERYTHING! I haven't done a liver detox yet, but I'm ordering some Liveractive now. Thanks again!
