Red Roses

Red is the symbol of love, passion and romance. It's no wonder that red roses are given for such special occasions, whereby the most popular one is the Valentine's Day.

Especially when the romance is new (e.g. spending the first Valentine's Day together, it is customary to give one single red rose. This rose alone has a stronger symbolism than a whole bouquet of red rouses. Nothing says more I Love You than a single rose.

In the old times lavender (or purple) has been associated with the royal families, with royalty and upper class.
