ROSE Online User Events
World of Warcraft may have the largest community in any MMORPG but ROSE has definitely got the best community. ROSE has quite a few players who are not only popular ingame but also popular on the games forum and these players get together to make some of the best events ever held in any MMORPG (if you don't agree with me on this point make sure to leave your comments in the guestbook at the bottom of the page).
ROSE is now F2P
As of July 29th 2008 ROSE is now F2P (free to play) and is now contending with FlyFF to become the best of the free to play games. If you are not yet a member of the ROSE community go to the ROSE website download the client and sign up.If you have no prior experience of ROSE - read on, check out the links and videos and if you think the game will appeal to you come and join the online community that is ROSE.
Golden Jelly Awards 2006
The prizes for this event were also provided by LightD out of his own virtual pocket. This type of even also proves that good events can be made by normal players and the prize coming from your own virtual pocket shows excellent community spirit.
First place was given to the video shown below and was created by Aerosephane.
Second place was given to Victor Sanchez - click here to view.
Third place went to L1oric_Strycker - click here to view.

Miss ROSE 2007
Miss ROSE 2007 was thought up by xHerselftheElfx and YukiChan and was the first ever online beauty competition held in a MMORPG. This event caused a lot of controversy because it was only for female characters and as such many people who would have entered didn't even though the person behind the character did not have to be female. In fact I myself didn't get involved in the event until after the second round and I have to say it is the best event I have ever participated in in any online RPG.Click here to view the first two rounds of the competition.

Your Ideas
If you have an idea for a user run event for ROSE leave it here and maybe some other ROSE player who likes the idea will team up with you to create the event, or even someone will add ideas to yours to make it more workable.
The ball is in your court as they say.
Please note: Do not leave comments here the guestbook/comments box is further down the page.

Well, naRose become f2p starting from 2008/07/29. Let's see, how long will it stand? In my opinion, what naRose management did is not making sense. Let's compare with jRose.
jRose starts open Beta in September 2004, p2p in August 2005, and become f2p 10 months later, May 2006. f2p in jRose is restricted: storage and vending is not usable. To be able to use storage and vend, monthly fee JPY 1500 is required (around $12). A year later, the monthly fee is cut down to 1/3, become JPY 480. At this time, jRose management starting to produce enormous kind of mileage item, and has a clever idea to sell it, i.e. via treasure box. The monthly fee will be reduced again to JPY 380 by end of August. I have 4 accounts, and I only pay the monthly fee if I feel like to use my artisan to craft and vend, or if there are special promotional items for paying players. Now there are 4 servers (Casio, Polaris, Spica, Antares) with 2 channels each.
Compared to naRose, open beta in september 2005, starts p2p in December 2005, and become p2p in August 2008. After TriggerSoft closed, the development was frozen for more than 6 months. After forming in-house development team, little by little naRose can make their own patches, although still limited to database values change. They also can add some items, thanks to Ragnarok designer team for helping in their free time. But lately, they rushing the development without sufficient testing, resulting many complaints from players.
Why I think the decision of naRose become f2p doesn't make sense? First, it's completely free, so that means they will fully depend on Item Mall. Compared to jRose, there are still monthly fee, though optional. Second, naRose almost has nothing to sell in Item Mall, while jRose creates new items every two weeks. And seems that naRose try to cut the operational cost by changing to cheaper ISP, despite anticipating swarm of new players, resulting unstable server, DC, lost channel, etc. Shouldn't naRose close for good?
ROSE vs FlyFF
What do you think is the best feature of ROSE or Flyff. This module is not to knock either game, it is here so you can voice your opinions on both games and to say what would make either game better. I know both games have features that the other game is lacking and maybe a ROSE GM will see this and say 'Hey! That is a good idea, lets incorporate it into ROSE.".
Please note you can leave a comment for BOTH games!
