My Hero!!!
I have been working with a young man over the last few months named Jason Walker. I have mentioned him in some of my past articles. He is the young man that has suffered from Duchennes MD for most of his life. We communicate back and forth via email discussing the book he has written with Taryn Simpson called "Missing My Body". He wanted the book written, not to make money, (he makes about $2.00 for everyone he sells), but to inspire people that are facing difficult obstacles in their lives.
The other day I left Jason Walker an email to ask if he had a special hero. Figuring he would give the name of someone in the entertainment, sports, music, etc world. Well, once again, Jason surprised me with his answer...This is what he had to say about this question.
His all time hero is his immediate family..they have been there for him and he has been there for them. He feels very lucky and blessed to have them in his life. He also stressed that he thinks he would be a great motivational speaker. I get the feeling that when people have problems they go to Jason and ask for his advice. I think he would do a great job. I know when I read his emails he motivates me...
So now you ask who is my Hero...Duhhhhhh.. Jason walker is my hero. He has helped me through some rough times in my life and he does not even know that. He is my "Superman".
I work with freelancers in a group called "Full Circle-Admin Services" and we have all gotten together to help make some of Jason's dreams come true.
*One was to find an Author to write his book and have the book published..Done
*He wants to have a book signing at a bookstore in Tallahassee, FL. He will sign the books with his thumb print because he cannot use his hands to write..we are trying to get a bookstore to let him have this come true.
*He wants people to buy his book...He really wants to get his story out there not so you will feel sorry for him, but, to inspire you...
Please try and help us make this dream come true...please purchase a copy of his book.

I know you think I just wrote this all just as a sales pitch...Not at all..Jason has given me a new look on life and has inspired me and so many other people and this would be the gift I would like him to have for the holidays...
Oh I almost forgot, he told me the other day he would like to do interviews. He has done one already, but would love to do more.

If you would all just email this article to a few of your friends to get the word out there, I know we can make this happen...Any thoughts you have or suggestions just drop me a line....
Thank you for reading this and I wish you and your family a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season...
P.S. Jason since I have posted this has called me to so thank you...no Jason thank you!!!
