- Another 5* lens! What I love most about this lens is how you included the information about women being sent to the back of the bus in Israel. In 2009!! I've never understood how people can use religion as an excuse to discriminate. Great job.

- Fantastic lens, Margo! It's too bad that black people still get followed around in stores simply because of their color, and get stopped by police for simply walking down a road. I know of personal accounts of these things still happening on a regular basis. Will we ever get rid of prejudice????? Praise God for people like Rosa Parks!!!!!!

- Rosa Parks was a hero - a woman of courage and tenacity. I admired her greatly.
As an Army Brat during holidays, my father brought home men who were away from home and had no where to go. Poor and feeding 8 already, my Dad and Mom found ways to stretch the food to feed all who came. These men were of all colors, religion and nationality. Most were African Americans. My father taught me the meaning of equal rights and respecting all people. He was also one of my heros.
He opened our home even in the South during a time when I was attending segregated schools. Thanks to Rosa Parks and Martin Luther and to others like my Dad who accepted everyone.
Excellent topic and lens. 5 stars, a favorite and I'm already a big FAN! Bear hugs, Frankie aka Bearmeister

- What courage! and how good that must of felt to her, hey?
I've had some personal moments where i FINALLY said "no more!" and it felt so freeing. I may have risked getting beat up, but I wasn't risking getting thrown in jail! and I didn't lose my job.
you can't buy self-esteem, and you can't expect others to hand it to you. Nobody will treat you any better than you treat yourself. Rosa opened the door for an entire race to start esteeming themselves. Why did that scare so many white people - because I remember, in the 50's and 60's, my parents being afraid of the movement.
GREAT lens, once again! *****
