"No one can say no to a cookie...especially one of Rose's."
"As others have said, this is my favorite and most-used cookie book...I always like to know the reasons behind why a recipe works and why you need to use certain ingredients, and the author always explains these things. Add to that the great pictures, storage information (very important if you bake ahead of your event) and personal stories, and that's why this book is such a pleasure to use. Everything I've tried has come out the way I expected it." ~~ By moasmom2
"Rose did an excellent job choosing the recipes for this book. Some recipes could be difficult to make if you are a beginner, but if you are an adventurous baker, I am sure you will be happy to get this book. The instructions are clear, every recipe has a picture of the final cookie, all in all it is a very beautiful book to have. I have collected all of her cookbooks, and this is one of my favorites." ~~ Elena Hernandez
"Berenbaum gives the reader several options for measuring the ingredients (like measure flour in a measuring cup or weigh it on a scale) and options for mixing the dough (like mixer or food processor). Read through a few recipes and you'll quickly see how she organizes the process and how you can choose your preferred method. Lots of beautiful, color photos show how each cookie should look." ~~ D. Henrikson
"I have used this book for years. The directions are expicit and easy to follow. The tips are very helpful. The layout of each recipe is excellent. I have made many of the recipes. If you are looking for a book with sophisticated cookies, this and Flo Braker's Sweet Miniatures are great choices." ~~ DB
"The directions are very complete and easy to follow -- both for baking and for decorating. If Christmas is a big occasion in your home, as it is in mine, then this book will go a long way toward making it even better." ~~ A Customer

- If the cookies taste even half as good as they look (and I'm sure they must) then this is certainly a winning cookbook. Nice review, great lens!

- Years ago, I baked lots of cookies for the holidays as my mama did. Now, I use the refrigerated ones -- slice and bake! I do enjoy a pretty cookbook, though - and this one looks like great fun! (and would make a beautiful gift, too!)
